Was having a Spring clean today and dusted off one of my favourite toys.. I guess also some people who don't remember Z4um.com probably wouldn't have been here about the time we all bought them :D

Have any of the other /M owners still got theirs ? Here's mine.. in today's snow 8)

It's very very cool and does excellent 4 wheel drifts :lol:
 
Did you ever get one Andy ? :) I know Rick had another Imola one.. I reckon there were about 4 in total from us lot.

where did the M models come from?

And, does anyone make an RC version, we could organize a radio control rally or such if enough people were into it, :D :D :D .

OMG I was think the same thing LOLOLOL! And I don't even KNOW your dad, but I spent many a bollock-freezing day on a windy airfield in the back of beyond watching mine launch his latest creation to its inevitable destruction before he eventually cottoned on and moved into microlights and autogyros and got a proper pilots licence :poke:
 
Another one here, I've not run it or ages. Mrs Shunt complains about black lines from drifting around on the kitchen stone! :roll: :roll: :roll:
 
haha good work.. even on carpet mine will drift beautifully. Was going to get plastic tyres for it too :?

mcbee They are RC ! Pretty speedy too ! :thumbsup:

Mine was a present, but I think it cost about £90 from asia.. then a couple of hours to build it :!: :thumbsup:
 
I tried the RC aircraft thing, crashed my first one after radio interference put it in a power dive then I obliterated my dad's pylon racer at 70mph by not realising I was upside down when I pulled the stick back, another high velocity impact!!! Then I switched to cars, trucks, tanks, anything that can't fall out of the sky :D :D

Z4 races would be fun, I'm gonna have to look for one to build now.....preferably an s35i , in white of course.... :rofl:

That is soooooooo awesome :D

Not sure if anyone remembers them, but there used to be a chain of toy shops called "Beatties" in the UK (well, up in Scotland at least). They sold loads of r/c stuff. They went bust and were shutting down and selling off all their stock cheap, so me and a mate both bought 1/2 price Tamiya Pug 306 Rallye kits (about £30 IIRC) and built them up - embarassingly, both of us were 20/21 when this happened :oops:. Still got mine, not sure if it works but probably would if I bought a few new 7.2v batteries. Mine was FWD with a fancy speed controller: it had ABS braking effect lol, and could do ~30mph flat out...
