just acquired and a winter project

That's very pretty... But weren't you trying to sell another two seater (lovely blue spitfire) cos you couldn't justify keeping it ? Or does that one have four seats so it's ok ? :D

I always liked Triumphs, I had a TR6, my brother many Dolomite Sprints, a GT6 and a Stag, which engine has yours got in it, Triumph or V8 Rover

yep I was selling the spitfire, not because I couldn't justify keeping it but because it was too small and uncomfy for my needs - well my wifes actually!

besides this one has a (Triumph) V8 - no better reason to buy a car in my opinion!

It does make a rather glorious burble and has a fantastically comfy ride.

We have a classic car run next weekend I'll try to get a pic or two then but to,or row it's the z with the roof down, 10 seconds and one button, the stag is a couple of minutes and ideally two people, the hardtop is about 10 minutes and defo 2 people. Progress!

What it need and what it'll get aren't the same, it actually need nothing the po drove it round Scotland this year and Italy last year

But it will get a new interior including carpet, seats and trim. It will have an underbody makeover, fresh undersell and wax oil, rebuild the suspension with poly bushes, reprinted suspension components and new nuts and bolts (love the look of fresh black suspension, undersell and shiny silver nuts and bolts). It will also have an engine bay refit, not concours but it will be clean and have wrinkly finish rockers and trimming.

Outside I may refurb the alloys and ad the correct side trim in black

The lights are crap so they'll get upgrade, so will the stereo and the interior light ( may add a little led bling)

Bluespit I am serious envious  I have always lusted after a stag! I just love the look & the sound they make, enjoy! :driving:

Lovely! One of the nicest ragtops ever made and fitted perfectly into the Triumph "family" design of the Triumph 2000/2.5pi, GT6 MkIII, TR6 and Dolomite Sprint platforms. Shame Triumph disappeared.
