The Z4 is my daily and the Marlin is used for fun. Off the road at the moment for rad replacement with a big 4 core civic rad....

My main daily is an E82 123d, plenty powerful enough, will remap well, and is great on the motorway.

I used to own that car when I lived in Coventry. I sold it to someone that worked in Buckinghamshire and I think lived in the area. He put it on a private plate, but that's the plate that was on it when I owned it. I'm surprised it's not already remapped because he planned to do that.

My Daily is a Merc C class but I have a few others. I like the Monogram (Flip) colors in MG/Rovers so I have quite a few of these (much to my wife's annoyance)....

MGTF in Typhoon
Rover 75's In Various Inc this one https://www.whatcar.com/rover/75/saloon/used-review/n591/recommendation that is shown in the photo in Twilight
MGZT 260 V8

We used to run a 330d X Touring MSport as our daily. It swallowed everything we needed it to. And was easy to drive especially on long journeys. We bought it new in 2017. But we began to get a bit jittery about the war on diesel and the possible consequence on resale value so we moved from the sublime to the ridiculous and bought a Toyota Prius as our runabout. There is, of course, no comparison in terms of driving pleasure. However, the Prius has averaged 72 mpg since we bought it and comes with far more toys than than the 330d, including, head up display, lane change warning, adaptive cruise control and self parking aids. There is a five year warranty and it’s cheap to tax. It is, without doubt, one of the easiest cars to live with that I have ever owned. So would I shell out for another BMW? I‘ll keep my Z for driving pleasure but there will be no more expensive dailies from a company which demonstrates such disregard for loyal customers.

The Z4 is actually my daily, but the below is my toy! (excuse the mess in the barn!)

Cobra 1.jpg

Not actually on the road yet, but very close - I've been building it with my Dad as Cobras are his dream car and I couldn't resist.

It has a 5.9L V8 so should be pretty lively!

One of my other cars. I only mean to own two!
The Sabre, after 20+ years, is for sale.
1800, hybrid turbo, intercooler, 175bhp, LSD.

The sensible one is a Volvo XC70 - not the most exiting but does absolutely everything else.

Hah, small world indeed! I did notice in one of the photos I saw before buying it, there was a Z4 tucked away in the garage behind, I guess that was yours!

Bought it from a guy in Slough, then drove it to Edinburgh.

It's past 95k miles now and still going strong 💪

Yeah, sounds like he may have forwarded one of my photos to you. You can just see my Z4 in one of the photos I posted. Out of interest, when did you buy it? I sold it in May 2016 I think. I just found an email I sent to the buyer at the end of April 2016. He said he was buying it for his wife, who also came with him to see the car.

The Zed is the second car. Instead of having a company car this time, we took the allowance.
My daily is a C300 AMG Line, Premium Plus.
New in March of this year. We used Car Wow and got just under 25% off the list price.
Yes it’s a 2.0, 4 cylinder but there were no such discounts on a C43.
It has a very good spec and is surprisingly fast and very comfortable. Great for two spaniels as well. I really like it.
It’s selenite grey with cranberry leather and black open pore wood trim. Finished with black and silver 19” AMG wheels.

Out second car which is the wife's daily driver is a VW Polo GTI, a cracking little hot hatch with it's 1.8i turbo engine and 192bhp :D 20190413_154530.jpg
The Polo looks enormous when compared with the Zed!
It does in this picture, it's just how the phone camera takes the picture, it's not actually that much bigger

Have 3 cars including the E89 - missed having a car to tinker with after selling the E85 so bought a cheap TT roadster to upgrade and potter with. Wife always wanted an Evoque so got one for her 50th. The Evoque gets run daily and the E89 and TT get run for a week alternately .

I don’t use the MC that often as I have an X3 as a company car but my favourite is my ‘71 Datsun 240Z that I imported from West Coast USA a few years ago, I had one when I was 18 until 30, coincidentally sold for £40K a couple of years ago after I sold it for £6750 for my 911 :o , so always anchored after another, it’s the only car I’ve ever had that my son, now 21, takes pics of :driving: to me it’s a piece of art 8)

The Zed is a weekend car and I run a 1er 120d during the week. Still looks the business, great on fuel and tax and nippy enough to outrun most things on the road. Mrs has a Focus Titanium X. Proper eco car with all the toys which is the go to car for both of us for general getting about. I actually gave it a 20 hour detail last week so have a pic of that. The 1er go the treatment this weekend but forgot to take a pic!

I have a mk6 Golf sh!tbox that I recently bought back as scrap. Really well made and does 500 miles on a tank. Love it.

Hoping to keep the M for a few more years and get an EV daily as soon as practically/affordably possible.
