Im not certain this is the right place to post this, but it seemed the most logical - apologies if not.

This thread is a guide to anyone interested in my old Coupe currently for sale at Sytner Sunningdale:

Please note I am in no way affiliated with the dealer, nor am I writing this thread to spite them in anyway - My intent is to arm potential buyers with knowledge on the car to aid them in their purchasing quest.

I owned this car for the best part of 4 years and it was my pride and joy. It was always garaged and never gave me any real troubles.

Positives:
Strong engine - Never had any issues
Strong gearbox - Potentially small leak was noticed on a previous MOT but was not serious enough to warrant any work and was never mentioned again
Great exterior condition - Always garaged, weekend car, parked far from others and well loved. A few small stone chips were filled in well, it had a small but visible scratch to the drivers side front wing. The dealer pointed out a couple of very subtle door dings on each door which should have been resolved by the dealership. All the alloys were completely refurbished (diamond cut) less than 6 months ago and were in perfect condition.
Great interior condition - Well looked after, very little wear if any. Some light scratching to the piano black dash which would likely polish out. Drivers side bolster had a small amount of wear but this also could probably be tidied up to near perfect.
New brakes all round - New rear discs and pads all round. New handbrake shoes so wouldnt need doing anytime soon
Water Pump - This was replaced less than 6 months ago with a Pierberg unit sourced from Germany
GPS Antenna - This was replaced less than 2 months ago
Rear Springs - Replaced at 30k
Battery - Replaced 1 year ago (Varta F18 Silver with 5 year guarantee)

Negatives: Please note these may be resolved by the dealer now, I dont know - so check them if you are interested!
Rear Tyres - Getting close to the legal limit
Exhaust - Was starting to rattle - maybe a simple exhaust hanger or possible bracket break - never got a chance to have a look
Passenger Side Door - Seemed to have dropped a little as we were having to close it several times as of late
Repair work - Was involved in a very light nudge to the front passenger side, BMW replaced the wing and repaired and resprayed the bumper. The headlight had one or two tiny scratches on it but are barely visible
Servicing - The car needed an Inspection 2 In Dec and a brake fluid change which I'm sure should have been done
Internal door handles - I was trying to vinyl wrap these, only got around to doing one side (its not great)

The dealer put the car up for £15k initially but has already dropped it by £500 in 2 weeks. I sold it to them for significantly less..

If anyone wants any further info on it, let me know - happy to help

Like this thread and make sure you stay around chap, I like your new one! very informative and honest. Can you post again your value calculator or linky? Cheers,
Stevo

Thanks, sure thing Stevo

This is the last caclulation I did (not this car):

Id be happy to continue doing this for coupe owners.

I'll try and get one up for this car ASAP.

Advert shows 47610 as the mileage yet the photo shows 47854.
Someone been using this or have they just got the advert wrong!?

Lovely looking coupe, can't beat black and red as a combo.

What's going on with the drivers door internal handle? Seems to be a different colour to the passenger side?

Oh yes I forgot that - that was me having a go with some black vinyl and not getting it quite right ahem..

As for the mileage - the advert listing is wrong I gave it in at 47,847

I don't know what's happened but Sytner have bumped the price back up to £15,250

Stupid if you ask me as people will have seen it drop from 15 to 14.5

Presume there was a bit more work required in the car..

£15250 ! :o Sytner obviously hoping for a fool to come along who's easily parted from their wallet & senses
Big name dealer , slick advert & warranty doesn't make the car worth that ask
Deluded even trying when on the same ad page comes up a 61 plate E89 35k for the same money
http://www.sytner.co.uk/car-search/5015362-bmw-z4-23i-s-drive-m-sport-2dr/
Now i know they are 2 different cars but anyone actively searching out a E86 should know its overpriced by at least £3000
Be interesting to see where it ends

Wow - just stumbled on this thread by accident, I owned that car before Bluestreak :) Good to see her still looking well!

Almost tempted to buy it back but not at that price... :D

Small world, Sytner Sunningdale is my regular main dealer.

Have never bought from them - judging by this pricing I can see why!

BTW OP the car looks lovely! Hope you are enjoying it's replacement.

Thanks guys it really is a great car and has to be worth 12.5k of anyone's money. Scott great to see you're still around I think this car is testament to both of us and it's other previous owners

Sytners pricing is hillarious:

Listed at £15k
Reduced to £14.5k
Increased to £15,250
Reduced to £14,750
Reduced to £14k

Someone could get a great car for £12k here I think..
