My old car

We drove down to Castelsagrat in France last week to see friends who I sold my 2004 - E85 to in 2012 - I went out in the old car and was reminded what a super little car it was

It was oh so different from the current E89 - I noticed how firm the ride was even tho the car has non run flats - it was certainly much more firm than the current car with its 19" runflats !

I'd love to drive my old 2 litre and 3 litre Zeds - loved them both - what a great opportunity ronk

It's always a risk selling a car to a friend - but I was confident Weg I sold the Zed - the fella says it's the best fun car he's owned !

The E85 had probably started shaking itself to bits

Not as much as an E86 though.

I doubt that somehow - an E86 has a roof attaching the front to the back, not just a floor! :fuelfire:

Anyway OP, your experience is interesting. I've never been able to revisit any car I have sold but it would be an interesting experience for sure!

It was good to see the car being well cared for but odd to see it with French number plates !

What made you downgrade from an E85 to an E89?

:poke:

I got older and as such my car needs changed - as much as I still like the look and feel of my E85, my current 35is is a much more codger friendly car with more creature comforts and it's considerably faster - the downside I had to pay three times as many £'s when I bought the car.

Which is why it can take stiffer springs and therefore rattles more.
