Around 6 months ago I managed to catch the moment my odometer ticked over to 60,000 miles, and reset my trip computer to zero miles, bang on the moment - an immense feeling of serenity radiated inside of me.
Then over the course of the next 1000 miles, I noticed how the two odometers climbed at different rates :? for example my main odometer would say I've done 500 miles more, but my trip computer says I've done 506. So I reset it again at the next 1000 interval, and sure enough, after the next 1000 miles the trip is out by 12 miles again. So either my main odometer is slow, or my trip is fast, or both are buggered :rofl:
Anyone experienced the same? I can't think of any way to calibrate either one, as the differential is so small. I could just reset the trip randomly so it's not as evident, but now that I know there is a discrepancy, it'll wear away on my mind!
