As title...i had my winter wheels refurbed a few weeks ago, with the outer edge/rim powder coated in Bright Chrome, and the star centres done in a custom "Black-chrome/Shadow chrome" finish,so i thought i would post some pics :)

Sorry the pics aint great, but done in dull light, and with car parked up the side of thye house,lol..but u get the idea(hopefully)

I think I like these - subtle, and seem to make the spokes look more delicate. Be good if you can get a pic in better light posted, but good job

... However, 108s as winter wheels !

Isn't that technically abuse ?

I'm about to tuck mine up for the winter because I love them...

Looks really nice Craig, at least I don't feel alone putting winter Tyres and wheels on this early, although this morning saw 7 degrees on the OBC.

Looking good,i like, Will have to consider getting mine done in a bit ,just managed to curb the drivers front today on our little run down the snake to sheffield, bugger :headbang:

Thanks,i think the same;makes them look a bit more expensive looking,if thats possible?

Yeah,108's as winter wheels,...not a common choice, lol, but thats kinda what i like about it,as most ppl run around with a smaller size/diffirent style of wheel.

On the plus side, i had the Outer part of the wheel painted/powder-coated in a similar shade to the Hand-polished chrome finish on my summer 108's...so hopefully be more durable for the winter/seeing its got paint (&lacquer) and isnt effectively bare metal/laquered.
Only time will tell i guess, but my (hand polished) summer set have been 2-3 years now with 1 winters use, since their only refurb, and are 99% as good as they were after being refurbed :D

Yeah, its been anything from a mild 10-15dgrs c up here at times recently, but also very often as low as 1.5 c......so not too early.

Thanks for all the positive comments, folks

Looking good.

Get yourself some autoglym hood cleaner and seal it for winter next. Should also make it look newer.

I wanted the Elipsoid alloys when I first got my Zed in the spec n colour I wanted... Was gutted I had to put up with the 108's...

Wouldn't part with them 4 the world now, one of the best Zed looker alloys ever made... Let alone supa easy to clean

That colour combo is fab, getting tempted to sort mine out from the last owners indescretions...

Always someone being a smart-ass.....
Point of note: the pics were taken in dull light,as its dark when i leave for work and when i get home,BUT they were meant to show the wheels, and been rather busy recently.
The car is washed weekly, but given my lack of time recently(past few weeks),i havent given the roof its usual Megs clean, just rinsed the roof, hence some green/algae showing..which i actually cleaned today,so looking just fine, thanks

Craig, you live in Scotland - it rains a lot (especially in Ayreshire if memory serves me) and is damp most of the rest of the time. Mould happens. Don't sweat it - the car looks great, I am going to copy your wheels (hope you don't mind :D ), and these southerners are sometimes indelicate but you do learn to forgive them their imperfections. Eventually :poke:
