My next project for all of you....

Firstly can I thank everyone that believed in my last project,
For so many people to buy one just looking at the model was very trusting.

Secondly I was very touched by all the comments from them who did receive a gear knob and them who didn't.

Right now to the point I'm little stuck on my next project.
So I was hoping to get input from you guys on what you would like then I will put the best into a poll.

Please keep in mind that I won't be doing alloys
Or anything that requires electrical engineering.

Thank you
Oliver.

I'll no doubt be a minority with this...but, I'd love to see a double din fascia

I 3D Printed mine, but have also been looking for other ways of improving it. The problem however would be that double dins have slightly varying bezel shapes & sizes, meaning the cut out section would be super hard to get right. Unless you just made it solid and let buyers cut out the hole for their unit.

Although I don't imagine there'd be much demand due to what's involved with going double din in the first place (eg cutting back or blocking the centre vents etc)

Yeah would look nice but it's more a fabrication job.

: What ideas do you have? What would be something that "floats your boat" I ask as obviously the gear knob was your idea. And having had a few tattoos over the years, I always found the best work is when "the artist" does a take on an idea he wishes to do.
Just my thoughts
Forgot to add the gear change is a work of art.

I do like the gear gate. I think it would look smart and would be really unique or is that just me lol
There you go. That's the project. Do a mock up I think it will be the dogs.
:D
Your right I'm going to go with this.
It's going to take a lot of work and hopefully some help you people on here but I think it can be done.
I will make a start on it early next month.

We'll done Oliver. Trust me it will be a work of art. I can't wait to see it. Put me down for one as well please. I don't want to be in gear knob land again lol.

Sure I will.
This is not going to be as quick as the gear knobs though it will take a bit of time to get prototypes done fitted and tested.

 I'm sure with your talent and time it will be awesome.
I'm glad I could be of help on the decision.
We'll done bud

Put me down for one fella, keep this up and there'll be forum cars full of your work ;)

Cheers man.
Of they cost £2000 each

I will need to work the price when the prototypes are completed, but I know they will cost quite a bit more than the gear knobs.

Keep us posted :) Will have to see what I can justify spending. Brakes upgrade/rebuild is costing more than I thought lol

Oli, firstly got to say the gear knob is a delight to use and looks so very cool....cheers once again.

I'd also be interested in a gear lever gait in stainless but to finish off the interior the hand brake is also a must. I would've thought the handbrake would be the easist of the two and quite a few forum members are asking for that. Why not crack the easy job first and have the gear gait as a longer term job?
I am being purely selfish as i'd like a matching handbrake now!

Yeah not a bad idea, Could be a nice gesture at some point.
I have these that were made for me. Cant remember who made them.

I think it looks better than the normal Z4 keyrings

I think you might be right, the gear lever gate will take a while.
I will not be in stainless steel though that would be a nightmare, I will be doing them out of aluminium.

So I have finally got a bit of time to put some focus in for the next project 8)

Please await cad models
Haway Oliver!
Still loving my gearknob and it's garnered quite a few positive comments over here in Holland!

My favourite comment came from my good ladyfriend Laura who took delight in reminding me how often I seem to polish my knob and how it has its own little microfibre cloth n the glovebox. :D

Put me down for whatever you end up doing next as I'm confident it will be just as good quality as the knob!
Gear gate sounds like a goer. Personally, I'd prefer a handbrake handle. Can imagine the button mechanics could be a little tricky to fab up tho ?

Keep us posted fella

I can think with the demand for aftermarket gear knobs and hand brake handles that should be a core offering with developments to come!

I’d love to do that mod to my car, 8) :D

True but I never intended to make them a common item, I only wanted to make some unique pieces and stop there.

There is news on the horizon though. 8)
