My newish Z4 3.2 M roadster

Hey everyone, newbie z4 owner here….

I've been registered for a few weeks on the forum but thought I would only post when I finally got my car. So here I am :-)

I've been on the look out for a Z4 for quite a while now after seeing one and falling in love with them.

I am the happy owner of a 2006 Z4 M Roadster 3.2. I have to say….WOW….what a beast. At first I was a bit worried I wouldn't get use to it baring in mind I am coming from previously owning a MG TF 1.8. But it didn't take too long and I love everything about it.

It's going in for its service on Saturday as it was last serviced 10k (pretty much on the 2 year mark). I need to get new rear tyres and rear discs. It's also done 70k miles in total and although initially I was a bit wary of high mileage but my mind was quickly put to rest with a lot of Z4 owners and friends saying that 70k is nothing for a car like this especially with a BMW service history.

Is there anything I need to look out for or be aware of with the Z4 or particularly this model?

I've linked to a few images below

Looking forward to being a part of the forum

I fell in love with this car within the first 30 seconds of buying it. It's unbelievable.

Love the throaty sound it has, it's just pure driving bliss :)

Very nice indeed - welcome to both the forum and the joy of Z4 motoring

Welcome mate.

Looks like she's in beautiful nick, make sure you keep it that way eh :)

Going sideways into a ditch at 80mph is sometimes an issue.

Thanks everyone. It is a stunner if I do say so myself.

I was contemplating a coupe but after test driving a roadster, it just had to be done. Hopefully there will be plenty of summer to make use of the roof down :-)

 and one that I'm all to aware of.

Apart from the stubby (which I have just purchased) is there any other 'accessory' type mods you would recommend? I miss having hands-free and although I have the steering wheel buttons (I know - doesn't mean anything) I have checked my VIN with BMW and it doesn't have any connectivity. Which surprises me because it's got all the upgraded speaker system and it is an M after all :-). So, I was looking at the parrot bluetooth kit, has anyone had any experience with this? or
