well done adamski you are going to love that engine, that diff, that sound, that gearb....... ahhh now we can get a hands on comparison between the 3.0 box and the M , have you found it much clunkier or harder to change smoothly ? have fun exploring the thrill of a M :thumbsup:

Yes, i have one tyre on the rear with decent tread and the other on its wear bars, so mines even more entertaining now....
however, I find once you get used to it (wet or dry), its harder to get it to kick its back end out when planting the foot through roundabouts, etc. than it was on my 3.0i, such is the extra grip/traction from the m diff ..but yeah, these cars are awesome, and are a bit of an animal :evil:

So whens the 1st Scottish meet of 2014 going to be folks?? :driving:

3.0i gearbox was much smoother, and clutch was more forgiving. My new zed (see what I avoided doing there ;) ) has a much sharper 'box and savage clutch. Each gear is an event in itself, and I'll need to practice smooth seamless gearshifts.... if that's even possible :D

Have you got used to the length of time it takes to warm up and the fact its a bit of a pita 'til it does so, compared to the 3.0, lol....def not a car for short(smooth) journeys, haha
 
Yes - but the sound of the stone cold engine is so much nicer than when it is warm ...
 
Have only started it from cold once. Yes it took about 6 miles to be fully warmed up. I noticed that the oil temp wasnt fully up to normal by the time all the rev counter lights were out. So I just took it easy.

Might have to go for a mid week hoon just for experimentation :)

love the car, enjoy in good health, the z4m is awesome in everyway..... very very difficult car to replace!
 
Is the new //M your only car Adam?

My concern is that if I got one, I'd need a second car for if I was just going to pop to the shops (mainly due to wanting to drive it to a point where the engine actually gets warm etc at least most of the time).
 
Yeah I use SWMBOs Clio for the shopping runs and short trips etc. Luckily I have a 15 min walk to work so don't need the zed for the commute :thumbsup:

Well done, got exactly what I'd put on it from stock, Csl's and aeros :thumbsup: is this the 40k one that was on autotrader? Looks beautiful!

It seems to take forever. Temp gauge up in a mile or two, but as you say oil take good 5+ miles.

The clutch takes a little getting used to, and then another layer of getting used to with the mad button pressed. Really pleased you stayed with the Zeds, I think it's hard to find anything as good for the money.

Now you need someone to take over the exclusive roadster club! :D
