Sorry for the delays for photos, but the cars so god damn fun that I haven't wanted to stop to take pics

Ive had it since monday and it makes me smile everytime I start it up.
I was most suprised by the sound of it, My cousin has an E46 325ci and it really doesn't sound a patch on this. Love the way the car just pulls in any gear and im quite pleasently suprised by the fuel consumption

Heres what its got, plus a few more options that probably aren't mentioned..

Spec..
Metallic black with Red Leather.
Manual 6 speed
Sat Nav
Bluetooth & telephone connection
Upgraded Carver 10 speaker system (sounds amazing)
Xenon lights
Upgraded 18" 108 Alloys
6 CD multi changer
Heated seats with driver memory
Individual New England leather
Rear windshield
Rear parking sensors
Climate control
Auto headlights and wipers,
Sport button (though thats standard and probably doesn't do anything, just looks cool).
Its had the runflats ditched already, which saved me a job.
Full BMW service history
3 Owners
50,000
Service 9,300 Miles away which is an Inspection II

I knocked a grand off the price and ended up paying £10,500 for it
I ended up going with elephant for insurance in the end, managed to knock another £50 off , so Im now paying 1100 for 10 months which is acceptable for a 21 year old with 0 ncb

Anyway, on to the pics....

Glad to see the heated seat on max! Looks like you needed it!

Looks like a nice clean example, just need some clear lights now and youre set!

Hows the mpg?

Nice, love the red interior. Now take a long drive through Cannock Chase and then over all those B roads to Abbotts Bromley (Boxing Day is nice there).

 Cheers guys. Some guy mentioned that the seat was "totally battered" on another forum I post. Am I right in thinking thats just average wear for a Z4? The 2 I looked ad were the same as mine.

As for cannock chase, thats my plan for this sunday :D but, but, but your in the USA??
Not had time to give it a decent wax or clean yet, too dark by the time I finish work :(

Had a bit of a ding dong with an Audi A3 3.2 quattro last night from some lights. Kept up perfectly fine 8) But the guy was on a death wish and then started weaving in and out of traffic like **** so I just left him to it

It varies, I've seen some that look like that with 30k and some that look much better with 65k...it depends on how the car was used. If it was driven by a fat bloke who got in and out a lot (as apposed to longer distances per trip) then they will be more worn. Those look a bit saggy in the seat, but not unacceptable for a 50k mile car IMO.

Can't believe you can get these for ten grand now. Deal. Enjoy it!!

dannyboy - how much would the clear lights cost?

2dogs - that's only for ten months aswel! still, im impressed seeing as i have 0ncb

I didn't think the seats were that bad anyway. im getting a scuff mark seen to so will see what can be done.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I went the open day for the z4 when it was released. Just happened to be identical to the one i've bought. Since then it became my "realistic" dream car! so much so that this side of a 360, theres nothing else i want.

Just wanna say thanks to everyone on here that helped me loads while i was looking for my car!much appreciated.

Congrats on the new toy looks superb

Get some wax on that black paint and she will look awesome glad your enjoying it had mine since Jan and i still smile every time i turn the key :D :D :D

Think it depends where you live been keeping an eye on BMW UK since i bought mine and not seen anything i would buy over mine and do seem to have dropped that much.(NOW SOMEONE IS GOING TO PROVE ME WRONG ) :D

Cheers! Not give it a wax because by the time I finish work and get home to the car its dark! Saturday is looking good though.

Just thought Id say... Took my new car (Id only had it 1 night), up to Nantwich in Staffordshire on tuesday night for a quite drink with a couple of mates (they were in an mr2). Didnt realise it was student night, so parked up on the high street with a few other cars around. Quite a few people about. We were literally about 10 minutes inside ther bar, I come out...go to pull off and..SMASH! I have a major WTF moment and get out the car... Turns out some **** had wedged a bottle of WKD (Glass) infront of my rear tyre (was hidden by the curb). Id pulled off and it had smashed and then Id driven over the broken glass. Luckily my tyre was fine but I guess this is something Im going have to leanr to live with :(

Ive never been out in that area before and I live 30-40 minutes away so It wasn't and vendetta against me. Just some idiot who'd rather spend his money drinking beer everynight of the week ruining other peoples hard earned pleasures in life.

So I'd just like to say...a big SCREW YOU to that guy! I feel better already :)

Cheers and congrats on a beautiful roadie! The black/red/aluminum is a smart looking combo... and I don't know what they were saying about your seats — they look darn good to me. Besides, when we're driving, we're looking across a big bonnet, not at our bum-parkers.

Enjoy every turn of the key, shift of the gear and passing of the miles.

You are one lucky 21 yr old. Nice colour combo! Enjoy :driving:

Like pmeloche said ==> Wait till you try an ///M. :)

20ducks, Im not sure but I'll definately be careful!
Id love an ///M! but sadly lack of funds means I cant have one..yet.
Fingers crossed not too much goes wrong with my car so I can save some more pennies.
Only one Ive been in is a passenger in an E46 M3 and loved every second of it.

Ive noticed, after my more spirited drives, that the yellow oil light stays on.

Now according to the manual this means the oil needs topping up within 30 miles (not urgently).

My dipstick looks NOTHING like the one in the manual and Im unsure where the min & max is...I put about 1/3 of a litre in and the light still came on this morning :!:

got a photo of your dipstick? (wish I hadn;t typed that)

It should be fairly obvious where the two big notches are in the stick, it needs to be close to the top one.

Haha...
Its identical to this.
oil.jpg

My oil level was between 2 & 3, but a little closer to 3. I topped it up and its about bang in the middle of 2 & 3 now.

What should I fill it too? I checked the oil about 5 mins after id stopped the car so not sure if that was the right time to check or not?

As above - nice motor and great colour combo - I was looking when I got mine for black with red leather and the 108's but couldn't find a good one so went to see the inside out version (Merlot Red with Black Leather) and loved it just as much - so that now sits on the drive back in UK (well, left the keys with the GF so I guess its not on the drive that often  )
