Just heard from BMW Military Sales out of Bahrain that my new Z4 sDrive35is has been built at the factory in Germany and is ready to be shipped to the States.
I ordered it back on 31 Dec 11 with every option except the DVD changer so it's definitely a once in a lifetime purchase. Since I'm deployed, I delayed the actual build to be closer to when I am back in the States.

To say that I'm excited is an understatement!
It will probably beat me to the dealer because after I leave Iraq I have to go TDY for 4 weeks and can't pick up the car until 25 Jun 12. That's a long wait. I just hope they take good care of it and keep it stored safely until I can pick it up. It would be my luck that the dealer in the U.S. uses it as a demo and it has a few thousand miles on it when I go to collect it.
Of course I still wonder if mine will come with a blonde like JDM's... :wink:
