My New Z4 (20i)

Afternoon folks,

Just thought i'd post a quick hello on the forum. It's been a really valuable resource so far when I was looking at buying a Zed and I reckon it will continue to be good value for sharing knowledge and a bit of a laugh!

Picture of the new car after her first wash and polish, I must admit that the wheels defeated me a little bit -a new set of brushes required I think- but i'll no doubt be washing her a fair bit due to the beautiful Scottish weather.

Couple of upgrades planned: upgrading to white angel eyes at the top of the list, followed by a bluespark tuning box and probably a recolour of the wheels to smoke chrome or similar (never been a fan of the black on black look)

Anyway, hello!

Hi, it’s a good idea to check the inside rim of these wheels as they’ve got a habit of cracking there! :o
Nice shiny zed you’ve got

Thanks for the advice, I'd already read that on here. I'm having a bit of a complex about these wheels tbh, they've got pretty much brand new run flats and no cracks (at the moment) so i'm wondering if it's worth selling them on now or just waiting to see what happens. Seome people seem to think it's just a matter of time with the cracking?

The issue seems worse with the rf tyres, normal tyres give a much softer ride as well as giving the rims an easier time of it, higher profile of 35 will help even more.

Welcome to the forum OP.

I can't see the photo either (presumably because I don't have a google account).

If you are going to change the colour of the wheels it might be worth fitting non-runflats instead of having the RFTs re-fitted - RFTs do seem to sell on the forum.

Ah I see,

There we go, I've added the picture as an attachment. That should solve the problem I hope.

Problem solved - lovely looking car you have there.

Your wheels would stand out nicely in a smoke/silver chrome finish - you can't really see what they are in black.

Don't forget a photo once you've had them done!

Hi and welcome to the forum. Fine looking Z, you’ll have fun keeping it clean
