Nice looking car, but don't tell Carol I said that.

It's ok, I don't care what you think anyway.

But at least this on has a proper engine :poke: :-p

On no! I didn't realise I don't have a proper engine. What to do, what to do? :headbang:

Perhaps he chose to have yellow mirrors, to be honest I don't get that mirror mismatch stuff anyway.

I was going to make a comment about not spotting the hole for the big key for winding yours Carol, but I couldn't find a way to phrase it that didn't sound like I was taking the piss, which I wasn't ;)

Can you imagine the two of them parked up next to each other at a meet? 8)

Where's your silver mirrors!?
The yellow doesn't come with silver mirrors anymore, going to Halfords to get tax dic holders today :)

Sat and read the owner handbook last night, 1200 miles to run in is a bit steep. Everything should be run in at around 100 miles of steady driving and then occasional red lining up to 500 miles. Then give it some

This is always interesting, mainly as I was watching a vid on You Tube showing BMW building its 2.0 N20 engine and then testing it at max revs for a short period before it went off on the production line. Personally I would run in by the book as advised. Its not just the engine, but gearbox, braking system etc which all need time and miles to bed it properly. Depends how mechanically sypathetic you are. I remember reading a post on the VXR forum where a guy thrashed his Astra from new thinking the car would perform better later on as the miles racked up only for the engine to fail. VX refused to repair under warranty as they said the car had not followed the run in period, I think the ECU can log any heavy throttle inputs.

End of the day its only 1200 miles :)

I like it and appreciate the guts it takes to make that colour the final choice. Original, different, exclusive

Its hilarious how I get it ripped out of me for having yellow (you know who you are) but a bloke buys one and he gets a  and pat on the back.

My honest opinion is that I like the colour for ladies only.
Interesting thing is when we went to pick them up the sales manager came out and starting showing my wife around the Z
Until she explained hers was the X5
