My new wheels

Guys, not my car (mine's black) but have just bought these Turbine wheels. I have 18" on at the moment and these are 17's. I would have preferred 18's but they came in at the right location and price so I had to have them.

Will I notice much difference?

Sorry I don't know if you'll notice much difference, but presumably with a bit more sidewall the ride should be a bit smoother.

But the turbines are a lovely looking wheel.

Nice wheels the turbines but 17s on sports cars are unlikely to add much "WoW" in the looks department
Look at buying spacers to enhance the stance ( the pic on silver car appears to have them fitted ) also tweaking the tyre sizes canreduce arch gap without lowering

Mr Wilks, am confused now. Surely the arch gap will be the same as the rolling radius has to be the same no?

Indeed but widening the wheel faces does trick the eye to think they are filling the arch more & the opposite way works against it

See this 911 , wheels look lost in rear arch but add spacers & the tyre will fill the arch better

Thanks for the replies guys. Yes I love the look of the turbines. They kind of represent a blend of my old career as a marine engineer and my current one as an airline "poilit". Wanted them in 18 but struggled to find them. These came in at £200 and decided not to let them slip out of my fingers. I need new tyres soon anyway so it seems like the right time to go with it. Time will tell......

Really like the look of the turbine but pity they never did an 18 in these don’t think I could bring myself to downsize but the look certainly is a draw 👍🏻

Took mine off today, nice looking wheels but will i miss them? Had budget tyres on them so no.
