My new toy

I’m an absolute beginner- I have been advised to leave it on the stand so it’s ready for a practice at any time!

Maybe we could do a duet?

Love it.

Here is my new, old toy. Built the same week I was born.

Good advice Ron, you never know when you are going to feel the need for a quick burst on yer banjo.

Nick - lovely bass, I have always admired those Ricky basses. I'm basically a Fender man, my Ricky 620 was bought last week on a sudden impulse, it plays and sounds great.

That looks great OP - Happy Birthday!

Shouldn't you guys be putting together a forum band?! :)

My fingers hurt!!!
I’m doing my practice twice a day - sometimes I feel I’m getting there - othertimes I’m useless.

Great admiration for you fellas that play any instrument!

I hope you get to the standard you want - I love music, but could never actually make any. :(

I know how you feel - I think even the experts struggle for that extra bit more. I don’t think anybody ever gets to be 100% - Starting to learn at this stage of my life has to be a limiting factor I fear.
Never mind it keeps the brain cell alive I hope!

Very nice indeed, what a great present,, yes superb advice, then it will look at you saying "pick me up", you are never to old to learn an instrument, trust me, I used to teach guitar and had many 70+ learning to play,

Love your pics of guitars, I am a real guitar junkie and at the moment have 22  and at 57 still playing the bars and clubs
