My new tips

just thought I would promote Machine Monkey's talents - I'm not keen on mods but have to say MM's stainless steel tips finish off the back end very nicely.

MM does a great job doesn't he, they really look fantastic and finish the zeds rear end of beautifully. My tips have been fitted about 5 months and still look as good as the day I fitted them. :D

I would love a set of those on my 2.5si, machine monkey, how much are they?

Unless MM has had to put up his prices they're £35 delivered - you will need to give him exact measurements of your existing exhaust tips as BMW seem to vary the size for some reason.

That looks great. Need to sort out a visit very soon to MM to get mine sorted out. MM dont forget about me when you get time!

Whilst I'm very happy with the look my paranoia has taken over a bit with how close the new tips are to the bumper - you can still get your middle finger between the pipes and the bumper but clearly the pipes do get very hot - I'd hate to think there's a risk of damaging the paintwork - anyone had a problem ? This picture shows the gap a bit clearer:

Looks fine to me.

I like them, but I also love the look of the standard chrome tips. They're quite thick which looks good to me.

Looks great. Is it possible to push them on further so they stick out less? I need to buy some 8)

Yes you can virtually push them back to where the old pipes end if you want - personal preference really - depends how much you want the old pipes showing - in my car the original end pipes are oval so would stand out more if I pushed them right back .
