Nargh - my delete button seems to have stopped working and we really don't need to lose Mike and his Merc. either.

So how is it after a few weeks of driving - still enjoying it?

BTW - the 'plowy' DNA lives on in this very recent shot of a modified OS headlight :wink: :wink:

I am enjoying the GTI, the gearbox is tremendous, got the remap booked for 17th Jan, that will take it to 250bhp and they are meant to be very good with that according to what i'm reading on other forum's. Once it's been mapped i'll do a write up with a load of pics, but i might put that in another section.... :roll:

I have to admit I wasn't a great fan of the DSG when I tried it - admittedly it was attached to a VW Passat TDI estate hire car, but I just found it a bit dull although the car probably didn't help. Some piece of engineering though, I appreciate it for that.
 
When I was at donny a couple of weeks ago there was a remapped GTI there and man it was quick!! So much faster than me and this new Focus ST that was there!!

Plowy, do the remap company know the car has a DSG?

When they first appeared in the old TT remaps we an issue on the basis of the limted torque characteristic of the gearbox. Albeit, due to the availability of the DSG box now am sure a remedy for this issue has since appeared.

Yes mate, there is a specific map for the DSG car i understand and they are aware, thanks.. :thumbsup:
