My new Mod updated!!

My parts guy just pulled it up on the computer no problem. I bought the same parts for the French Fry as well.
 
Big ask here then, any chance you could get a Part number from him or if you can give me their phone Number??
 
I think I used some 3M silicon tape cut in various strips but no where near the edges...

I will try and find the wrapper for you - if I have any left :D

It is Vines of Gatwick.

Unfortunately, my great parts guy has left a year or so ago. I did this on my old Z in 2005. You can obviously try the "new" parts guy to see if he can locate it on his system.
 
Or call Scott at Sytners as that is where he went to when he moved (no idea what branch).
 
I really like those, match the car nicely. Did you change all the badges to match?

I used some black loctite silicone on mine (all i had in the house!) Doesnt show though as i only applied it in the center, and not towards the edge.
 
Decided to take em off and start again, Had to remove the tape I had put on, which was not easy, was sitting at the kitchen Table doing it and to remove the final tape residue I used white spirit, Mrs Nosa came in from shopping and pointed out to me thats why I have a garage... :rcard: my argument of "but I don't have a TV in the garage so i can watch the world cup" for some obscure and strange reason this didn't go down well at all :?

Any way I used silicone, Much better finish, alot cleaner and solid.

Aquazi - Changed the one on the boot, cocked up the one for the front when trying to mod it to fit as I can't find a supplier for one that fits directy onto the Z4, Wheel caps next month, Not sure about one for the steering wheel,,,,,yet!!

Nosa, ref the steering wheel badge you can go the whole hog and remove the old one as cj10 did or just stick the replacement over the existing one with double sided tape as I and a few others have done. My thinking is if you are in an impact hard enough to trigger the airbags then an extra bit of metal on the steering wheel is the least of your worries, and unless the OEM one is designed to blow to smithereens when airbag goes off, the new one just goes with old one. So it could take you all of 20secs to fit the new one.

Think if I do change it I will probably go the pureist route and do a complete change rather than a stick on. still not sure I want to though. :?
 
I stuck my steering wheel badge on top of the stock one... its only about 2mm at most and still sits nicely within a recess.
