My New ///M

Right, picked up my second ///M on wednesday after getting up a leaving home at 5AM I arrived in North Yorkshire at 9AM some 270 miles later.

2006 M Roadster
Black Sapphire
Imola Red Nappa Leather
35k 3 owners, last once since 2007

Heated Seats
Sat Nav
Bluetooth
Logic 7 HiFi
CD Changer
Aux In
PDC
Auto Dimming External Mirrors

Drove home stopping via a Nottingham (visit some colleagues) when I noticed some damage to rear bumper :headbang: Visible from a distance as the numberplate light is hanging out slightly. Currently talking to dealer about this.

A couple of other minor cosmetic issues, so I have really been beating myself up ever since. Now to be fair my old car needed the front end and side skirts sorting so I'm really being hard on myself, and feel the same as I did when I picked the first ///M up. I guess over time once these minor points are sorted I will feel happier. It's a five year old car after all.

Anyway here are the pics from the dealer, as I haven't had time to wash yet after the return drive.

I know the spoiler isn't to everyones liking, but it's held on by Betalink which is virtually impossible to remove, so at some point I will source a Black Sapphire Boot.

Excellent

Even if you spend £500 in getting it up to your standard, that is nothing over the long term of ownership. Red seats in black car looks the best though.

That's a gorgeous car. I love the black and red on mine, and I'm thinking of having the silver dash wrapped in something black because it just looks so much more classy 8)

I have to admit that I really like the spoiler - does it have a different profile to a standard lid ? If a 2006 Si Sport boot is a straight swap for yours then I'd be happy to trade for mine... Save you some cash & get it looking how you want faster ?

Cool - the offer's not timebound, and if you want some £ for the spoiler being on yours we can work something out.

Congrats, it looks lovely.

I just had a great run in my M roadster, roof down, seat heaters on. Can't beat it, and the sound with the roof down 8)

Stunning! But then you knew I thought that already! :D

Now just get some miles under your belt, and you'll be fine. Don't worry about the damage you miss - you always miss some, unfortunately.

The main thing is to go out for a nice long drive, because driving it cold is horrible. Mine isn't that nice to drive when the engine is cold, but when it's warm - Wow!

Dont be so hard on yourself. We have all bought cars and missed something or not been happy with something,it will give you something to do in getting it sorted.
Enjoy it and take it out for a good hard drive. :driving:
By the way looks very nice    .
