Ok... maybe not what you were expecting. :P

Doesn't have an engine, no ABS, any form of stability control features, no airconditioning, no creature-comforts, not even a cup holder! In fact, it doesn't have much of anything really.... except a lot of speed and fun potential.

All being well I'll be picking it up in Groningen this weekend and riding it the 200km back to Utrecht  :?

What dya reckon? Would you ever ever consider buying one? Or would you just be more inclined to throw your half-eaten Greggs steak pasty at it if it passed you?

Well it's certainly different!

I'm not sure about the pink on the wheels, but Laura may like that!

Let us know how you get on, once you've got your breath back. :)

200km in that. :o Hope there are no HGVs on the roads. You could end up road kill.

Also has the roof motor been moved to the boot yet

Looks like a faired recumbent? Something like that anyway-aren’t they about 20% more efficient than a normal bike because of the aerodynamics?
Rob

Look great with the motor bike bolted on the side! - but just love the expression the lights and (vent?) hole make on the front :?

Post us some pics of you in action

 I'll have to get Durham Dave on the case if not.

Mostly nice smooth bike lanes over here in NL, physically separated from motor traffic....except at road crossings... :| :?

Theyre essentially recumbent trikes with fairing yes - officially referred to as a 'Velomobile' or in Dutch 'Velomobiel' :D

Reminds me of the movie The World's Fastest Indian! What's the top speed Chris?
50km/h+ easily achievable with this particular drivetrain I understand :o

That vent hole at the front is just about the right size for a 3-skinner including roach I'd say...

Comes with some nice black wheel covers too...which I will be replacing immediately. Think the ones in the pics were red originally, but have faded in the sun perhaps.

I recall hiring a bike at Amsterdam Station, many many, years ago and riding out to the coast. Not enough hills for me back then. It might be different now. First sight of a hill and I hunt for an ignition switch.

No way I would ride something like that here in the UK. Far too low for my liking, I’d be to worried about not being seen.

You'll be pleased to know that Holland is still pretty much as flat as a pancake these days buzylar!

However, aptly enough the first mod is going to be to replace the standard 50/34 front cog for a Shlumpf mountain drive to deal with any pesky hills I may encounter on my travels...
