My new Gloss Black 18" Style 32s

Looks great Marlon - I'd definitely consider the roll hoops in black and maybe even the windscreen surround too?

You guys move fast! They look fantastic against the red, Marlon. Great choice.

I really think your Zed needs lowering though. It always looks like it's on stilts when I see your Photo's. Can't wait to see the hardtop on, bet it will compliment the wheels perfectly.

Thanks ben, its on the SE suspension so what it lacks in aesthetics it makes up for in ride comfort

Really liking the wheels Marlon. The red and black looks just right....Im a bit biased towards black wheels though

Could do with one of those wheel pin thingumajigs for winter wheel swap. been struggling for years without. where from?

Contact our very own 'Machine Monkey' he makes them

Nice wheels Marlon! I also have a set of the 32's on and love em. Can't go black though as they wouldn't look right on my car. However they look good in black against the red.

I didn't really know much about the style 32s until Mr Wilks alloys came up for sale. They are quite rare aren't they - really suit the Zed and look great in original sliver on your Coupe

To be honest I didn't know about them until stumbling across a set for sale. Always liked alloys with a lot of spokes (kind of like the touring car alloys of the 90's and 00's). I think they are rare in our format (8.5J) as most sets for sale seem to be the larger offset for the 5 series. I may be wrong though.

What I do like is the fact they are easy to clean (unlike the old mv2's I had on my 3 series) and they are a lot lighter than the 108's I had. They also won't suffer corrosion like the 108's.

Anyway, great choice Marlon, car is looking a peach!

Thanks Roundozo. Yes, the wheel guru Mr Wilks was saying most sets were for the 5 series IIRC. They do have that retro look about them with lots of spokes. There's quite a demand for them too - I know within hours there was a lot of interest in the ones I managed to buy. Also, I agree that cleaning them is a joy compared to the MV2s - gave them a quick once over last night :)

The style32s were made for a variety of BMWs like 3 5 & 7 series + i think some Z3s :? the rarity with the ones you have Colin is they are 18inch staggered widths with the et 47 & et 50 offsets which are perfect Z4 fitment which were only available on some E46 3 series so finding a straight unbuckled , unrepaired set isnt easy
Most of the 32s were 17 inch or as with 5 & 7 series very low offsets of 20 which is a bit extreme for a Z4
They look well mate & unlikely you will see many Z4 Si roadsters with them on

They do remind me of the Alpina classics, which were an 18" option on the Alpina version of the Z4 (E85) - not very widely taken up - 20 spoke vs 15 though:

The new turbine-style classics are a bit tasty....
