My new E89

I've just taken delivery of my 2013 E89 and have lots of questions :-)

I can't find any info on whether the phone cradle is usable with new phones - can I buy a cradle that fits into it to charge my iPhone 12 ?

Welcome to this fine forum. :) Alas I can't help with the phone question.

You might want to post a picture of your Z4 up quick, before more pic police arrive.

Hi and welcome to the forum
Very nice e89 and in the best colour 😁
I doubt there will be anything for newer phones

Hi And welcome to the forum :) Great colour choice 8) Anything other than a USB in a car baffles me, I would use the USB to charge your phone

Welcome once more, nice looking Zed you have, one of my favourite colours. As others have said easiest way is just to use a short usb cable to charge your phone.

Someone with more knowledge may know for sure but I think I heard a figure of around £160 for the correct adapter for each phone.
You may not be able to get the adapter for your phone anyway as your phone is newer than the car.

I’m pretty sure anything bigger than an IPhone 5 won’t fit in an adaptor.

Nice car btw, space grey really suits the E89.

I got my iPhone 8 Max in the snap-in tray in my 440i
I'm wondering if there are different snap in trays or they're all the same

No

OK guys, having done loads of reaserch this very week on these snap-in adaptors (future video will be on my channel, eventually!), here's what I've found that may well help......

Firstly the link that gremlin has found for the wireless chargeing adaptor will work for iPhones and Android that have wireless charging, but....... for plus size phones then you need a little extended clip, so take a look at this video on what to do.....

There are loads of different adaptors for various phone types, but only so far, now they sell universal types that fit later phones which come with either a Lightning end, Micro USB or USB C ends depending what you want to fit, then there is the wireless charge version above.

Hope that helps.

Oh, don't go breaking anything, I'll be writing a How-To on how to remove them properly withoug breakage very soon
