My New Car

I currently live near Southampton General Hospital (my place of work) but will soon be moving to basingstoke ( :headbang: ) - my grandparents used to live in Midhurst, my parents live near Reading and my ex-gf lived in Bishops Waltham so I know the area around petersfield and its connecting roads!

best road near basinstoke is the one comin out goin to alton love that road :D
best bit of peterfield is the roundabout next to mcdonalds good one to get the back end out when its quite :)

High and welcome, nice looking Z4, good to see you have the stubby on order  , just the can opener to go.

One thing I would do is change the dash trim with piano black or carbon wrap as others have done. IMO brushed aluminium doesn't suit what you have there.

Your right thats the only thing i don't really like about the inside :(
is the trim easy to remove and i wouldn't do piano black as my old car had it and was murder with finger prints!

Not a hard job , the two dash parts are easy, the centre console bit of a pig as the console needs to come out to get to the 30 screws that hold the trim in place.

I would suggest going for the Carbon wrap that a few members have done on here, info below

How does straight-line performance compared to the VXR? The Z has more power but ive read the VXR has some serious turbo surge!

Round Donnington I was neck and neck with a chipped Astra VXR , he had more BHP but couldn't get it down onto the track.he was impressed that my ( only 231 bhp) Z4 was as quick as his Astra. We had several good dice's overt the 6 sessions we did. It made a noise like a jet fighter when I was following it,the aftermarket exhaust hehad was was amazing. Nice coupe fella. :driving:

its hard to say my vxr had 270bhp and had a lot of kick after 3 an half revs an put the power down different as was bein pulled unlike the bmw as gettin pushed forward and a lot more smoother.
i'm not really sure is hard to say as my last two cars have been turbo'd so feels like when it kicks in your goin fast still not use to the power of the bmw want to say the bmw is faster but not completely sure :(
i know that didn't really answer your question sorry :?
