Bought some gloss black grills off a forum member to match my new gloss black hardtop.

Here's some before and after pics, what do you think - do I need to launch a Poll ?

They look good  . I should've got these for mine . Oh well , you snooze you lose

TBH I'm not too sure ?

As you know I love the roof but can't make up my mind on your grills, don't get me wrong it still looks damn fine but not OMG that's such an improvement.

Still on my list of things to do, but perhaps I may just push it a bit further down the list.

Sorry Stuart.

I have got these on my carbon black zed but on my colour of paint they lose some of the contrast, well, all the contrast actually :o

On yours (I think red is possibly the best) they look the absolute business

Don't see how anyone could think they weren't a huge improvement :poke: sorry Stuart :D

I think you need matte ones as well, for when the hard top is not on :P

Looks the mutts nuts mate. I've got matte black on my hellrot Coupe, a lot more purposeful than the silver/grey.

No poll required mate :) & don't stop there  black the bar under number plate then wheels to complete the look of "aggressive style "

Looks good. Not as good as it would look with black-backed headlights, but definitely an improvement. Like that they're gloss as well. :)

Blacks the way to go,looks far better imo. I agree with mr wilks wrap the front bumper bar looks nice & aggressive. I would post some pics of my old e86 but photobucket down !b

I am undecided!
Head on, I prefer the black. Especially with the scoop. Looks amazing

Then the side on, I really think the chrome is looking wonderful!
And the black a bit dull side on.
I know thats not very helpful but yeah thats all I've got!

A mixture of opinions, but thats what I love about this forum. So far I'm feeling the majority think its an improvement to varying degrees. Thanks for the feedback so far fellas :)

Looking good but needs some more black at the front/nearby......was thinking about wheels but lower front is a good shout.
just my tuppence worth

Undecided on it. They look dare I say cheap and 'flat' with no border and don't look to be part of a coherent theme, also conflicting with silver lights. I would keep the chrome outer rim and then the black inners and probably matt not gloss
previously the, grilles and lights tied into a coherent look and theme.

Alternative is to take the black theme more around the car, lower grilles, possibly wheels, etc.

Definitely do this!

I'd also black out the fog lights (either with film or a tinting spray) as it will help bring everything together and also hide the inevitable condensation that will get into them....

I'd possibly be tempted to swap for black backed headlights too but that's a bigger job whereas the other two re relatively easy
