My new baby- '08 Mini Cooper S

Nice. I hope you have more luck with yours than we had. We bought a brand new 07 plate cooper and everything went wrong with it within a few months. The ECU failed totally.......car dead. Was resurrected just in time for the radiator to fail. The power steering pump failed and we never ever got to the bottom of an engine rattle. we sold it after 18 months and bought the Audi TT. Nightmare.... looked the part though. It was Pepper White with factory fitted black viper stripes and 17inch starburst alloys

Sorry to hear about your Mini woes....mine has not been without problems. I had the "cold start rattle" AKA engine rattle fixed under warranty now that Mini has found the cause of the issue. Body panel rattle gremlins have appeared in the boot and dash but I have isolated them and have eliminated most rattles....other than that, a joy to drive.
 
I can't believe on the new engine that they still had that cold rattle problem!! I had one of the first MINI Coopers to come out from BMW in 2002 and that had the same problem!! They also solved that, but it meant a new head! :|

Mind you, it didn't put me off as I ended owning 3 before buying the Z4.
