My muffler delete experience - alternative muffler suggestio

Car Chemistry inserts apparently reduce drone so will consider this if all else fails.

But first will try wrapping the exhaust and having a poke around underneath the car to examine the mountings.

Looks like I have a project for the long weekend....

Update time.

Have got through two tankfulls of fuel and the exhaust has settled down significantly.

Still some drone around 2000rpm but I have learnt to drive around it instead of sitting at that level. From other posts on the subject it appears other custom exhaust systems also suffer drone at this level.

When you get above 3000rpm the noise is loud and farty and far more in character for the car when compared to oem.

I may go down the route of car chemistry inserts to get rid of the drone entirely but for now I am just enjoying all the noise!
