My Insurance....Oh my days!!!

Lol no
The thought never even entered my mind.

+1 the difference in cost would only be a couple of hundred at most.. and that's not a lot considering how much it'll cost you if you do stack it through your own fault!

That’s the only bit I think an insurance company will hear! You could only be more risky if your job was ‘night club doorman’. If you have to deal with low life scumbags it’s likely once reprimanded they will come back and key/kick/smash/set fire to your car.

Insure it under your name – unless that is you are a night club doorman lol

Or on the other hand, the police are taught how to drive properly!!

They have proper night driving courses, how to drive fast on country lanes, are made to drive at 140mph on motorways, skid pans!!

Maybe the price of female drivers with <2.0l engines are cheaper than male drivers. However, anything greater than 2.0l and the price rockets!!?

Sorry, didnt intend for that to sound as if it were something i was considering

personally i couldnt afford to write off that amount of money, but i wondered if it was the reason why some people have £700 insurance Vs £1300 in similar situations....

Ry

You guys all sound like your paying a lot, im 27, live in a fairly crap area have the 3.0Si coupe and pay £460, if my insurance quotes were anything like a grand i just wouldnt bother with the car.
Maybe im just blinkered or missing the point but its a hell of a lot of money to give away each year.

Maybe coupes are cheaper cause they have hard roofs?

People could rip the material of my roof to get into my car :o

I'm basically clutching at straws here though

I think i can top trump most people on here re insurance costs...

04 3.0i Roadster...

32yrs old... 0yrs NCB... 10 points...

£2210 :o

And that was the cheapest i could find (with Elephant) and with my dad added as a named driver (65 retired electronical engineer). Without my dad as a named driver the cheapest was £2900.

Its definitely worth it though... :driving:

I feel very humbled reading that post!!!

I don't agree with if its 1k a year i would get rid of the car. There is always a workaround...

Tbh the reason i can afford a zed is cos i choose to spend my money on that
Ive got half a stake in a house asan investment so only need to save for insurance etc..and i don't really drink much anymore cos ive turned into a fitness obsessed geek. So im not really blowing all of my money?

woots - you're head is more switched on than mine was at your age! I'd much have prefered a Z than a headache! lol

Had thought you were mad, but put like that... good effort! Wish I'd have done likewise. Best news is... over the next few years, as your age and NCB goes up your premiums go down = more disposable income = more money to tweak! Those rims maybe. And at the same time you'll have honed your driving skills on a superb rear-drive machine!
