Looks like the Halfords advert "hi I'm Brian and today I'm going to show you how to change the bulb" oops he's dropped the bulb

I see amber LED indicator bulbs on eBay all the time... Or at least I think I do, because I have never looked for them specifically. Wouldn't they do the trick without wrapping the ginger ? I only mention it because I bought silvered indicator bulbs for my repeaters (facelift) and found them to be really dim so took them off again.

Tricky project, but well worth it - good luck  :D

Amber paint on a clear bulb, perhaps?...
Yes but the amber glass dome is still required to reflect enough amber light around the clear lense so its the dome that needed tinting. :)

Not really - I removed the domes and applied mirror film to the metal backing around the bulbs - the plastic pieces already have the reflective coating, so just adds to it. Works just as well and gets rid of the orange effect.

is the glue for the angel eyes or the for glueing the headlamp casing back together?

if it's the latter, you'll need some silicone sealant. got mine from screwfix.

where did you get the covers for the angel eyes? I have the LED ones same as in your box but not covers.. like them ;-)
