What I was thinking. Will probably last longer as well.
x4 if they're showing corrosion already, the new ones will most likely be no better - a full refurb in black/polished at somewhere like Lepsons will give you a higher quality finish at a price similar to selling/buying replacementsGrumpyowl said:X1Bing said:Why don't you just get the ones on the car refurbed in black/polished ?
ben g said:What wheel cleaner are you using johnny? Only reason I ask is because I damaged some aftermarlet alloys before which had a polished face, due to using meguiars hot rims wheel cleaner.
I didn't tell the company that though
Jonny essex said:Well the corrosion already is a worry as only 8 months old and i use no wheel cleaner so wont be that, theses other 313 reps are from a different firm so maybe different quality, and the price of a full spray and polish would only be £200 cheaper then brand new wheels which i would prefer.
So if i do sell them i would go for £250 prob
+1 I really think the refurb is the way to gosrhutch said:Jonny essex said:Well the corrosion already is a worry as only 8 months old and i use no wheel cleaner so wont be that, theses other 313 reps are from a different firm so maybe different quality, and the price of a full spray and polish would only be £200 cheaper then brand new wheels which i would prefer.

And in 8 months you will be in the same position.

What's the betting that they'd claim that the corrosion was starting where the polished face had been hit by road grit which had pentrated the coatingsrhutch said:Good Point.Stuart Truman said:If they're only 8 months old and no damage, I'd be onto the supplier as they're not fit for purpose in European weather...
In the thread when he was tossing up between 313s and CSLs, the wheels referenced in the picture were BMW 313 Style wheels - so aftermarket rather than OEM. http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=51643Adamski said:Wait a minute. I thought JE spent £3k on genuine OEM 313s :?
