My fist few mods

Hi all,

I've finally had a chance to do some bits to my lovely 4.

1. Had a remap done yestreday by ProChips
2. Custom made Blueflame exhaust system, twin 3" pipes
3. My chrome front grills are now black
4. Had a JVC 4" dvd player installed
5. Clear rear break light

I have included some pictured below for you to see

I think the grille works well and love the clear lights (even more so on the lighter colours)

Interested to hear what the remap did in terms of driveability and if they gave you info raw wheel power.

Thought you were going to get a quad system fitted or did I misread that somewhere?

Hi got 18bhp, but i havent fitted the k&n air filter as yet, which he recons will add on another few.
The difference is noticable though

ok, give me 5 min.
It was a pig to fit as there are no available surrounds that do teh job

I was going to do the quad but because of the battery? box or something they said it is a very tricky job, so i thought i would have to go with just one side
 
Here are the pictures of the stereo.
It is pretty cool one, you can change the background colours and currently i have usb stick connected to it and i can view all of the albums on the screen.
The only thing if you dont have steering wheel controlls conected it makes it slightly difficult to control as the is no buttons, they are touch censitive

great mods and great to see a girl so into her car! :D not so keen on the headunit but each to their own.
 
Car looks awesome! :thumbsup: The ZHP wheels and the style 107's are about the best looking wheels on the Z4.

The ACSchinitzer sticker on the other hand, needs to go, especially since you have no visible ACS part on the car.

I have bought the ACSchnitzer gearstick and hand brake, i just havent installed it yet. Also, ASC rear spoiler yet to come
 
Like the stereo, I need a USB one for mine, Merc use fibre optic for the electronics though so I'm clueless as to how I would do it.

Looks good though, but like an Ipod control.

You have an output for ipod as well, i just preffer to use usb.
I had to go to roadradio, they have sorted it, the only thing is the wires are really expensive.
I had to pay £60 for reverse sen. wire to connect to the stereo, about £65 for parrot cable and about same again for steering wheel controls.
Pop in to your local RoadRadio, they can quote you the price

Thats a decent return you got on the remap.

Pity the stereo isnt a better fit in the dash, but as long as you're happy with it thats the main thing.
 
Nice Mods, my friend has the same radio, it's got lots of nice features. Black grills look my better with out the chrome surrounds. I must get the clear brake light done on mine :thumbsup:
 
I couldnt live with that head unit, but like the other mods, the clear third brake light is fine but doesnt have the same effect as on lighter cars.

Grill is probably the best one :thumbsup:
