bit of background:

Was driving past Stratstone Maidenhead 10 days ago and saw a lovely silver Z4 coupe. Immediately stopped and asked for a test drive. Loved it and was all set to buy it, but apparantly someone had rang that morning so it was already sold. I was gutted :(

So much so that I immediately went onto Autotrader and started looking for another one :) Found a blue one at Cooper Tunbridge Wells, and went to see it last weekend, liked the look of it a lot, and was offered a great tradein on my current car, so I bought it. Picked it up yesterday and managed to get some pics today.

Bit too sunny, and I need a new camera, but they aren't bad

Blue is better than silver on coupe. Nice.

thanks. I think I agree, so its good that in the end someone bought the other one from under my nose. the deal on the blue one was much better too. I tend to be conservative for colours - even my scooby was black!, so this is my first 'colourful' car

Very nice - Not seen many Z's in that colour - looks like the rear windows are tinted too!

Is that a bit of condensation on the passengers front fog or a reflection? If condensation should be replaceable under the warranty.

wow, good eye (although I guess its a common fault?). Just checked and both front fogs have condensation. Will ring the dealer tomorrow.

My parking sensors are duff too - long beep and then nothing.
Dealer seems accommodating though - they're sending out a mobile leather guy to repair the piping on the drivers seat because their inhouse guy couldn't do it. Its a cooper garage so am I right in thinking any cooper dealership can handle the repairs? Tunbridge Wells is quite a trek from me (I'm in Windsor) so Cooper Reading would be much simpler.

I love Montego Blue on the coupe.

If I was to win the lottery I would get a 3.0Si coupe with the automatic gearbox to accompany the roadster I have.

There was a Montego with Pearl Grey leather in Sytner Solihull's showroom for a while last year. Lovely combination.

you local bmw dealer can do all the warranty work, if it's under three years old you should have no trouble getting the fogs changed, mine were done just before it's third birthday, however I'm not so sure you will be so lucky if it's older as seals arent covered and IIRC from previous threads members have struggled and failed to get them replaced. (Like 108's there arent covered if the car is over 3 years old either)

Its just under AUC. I only paid for it yesterday. Will I have any leverage based on that? Failing that, is it just a cosmetic thing or something I should get done pretty quickly? And how much if I have to pay for it?

You may struggle, if you had pointed it out before buying no doubt they would have replaced but you will have to take back to coopers for that. Not sure of cost otherwise, but not cheap.

They should be fairly good about it and just replace them. I had both of mine replaced recently, as they are a COMMON fault, so that will be on the system.

STUNNING colour... But I would say that! :P It just reminds me how stunning my car actually is.
