I'm posting this because I know there are some experienced webmaster types on the forum and probably people like myself who are thinking about a career change (enforced or otherwise) or starting a business and will need their own website. I've recently completed an evening course in basic web design and converted myself to Dreamweaver CS5. As a CSS project I've produced a site at NetDragon.co.uk and would appreciate any feedback including from non technical surfers and those more knowledgeable than myself. The coding is far from perfect but it took me Bl***y ages so your thoughts would be interesting.

I'm not cruising for Google juice so did not post a link and hope nobody objects to an honest request from a community member, Thanks - Netdragon.co.uk

Well I fall into the category of "non-technical surfers"

Two things -

1. I love this chick, do you know her? :sweetheart:

2. The text seems quite large, nothing wrong with that, but it seems larger than most other web sites. I'm browsing on my work laptop which is ancient too and has a small res screen, so exacerbates it.

But it looks good to my untrained eyes

I currently manage a number of web site and this is something I've been doing for almost 15 years. Since I retired last year it has become a source of additional income as I maintain the web sites of the company I retired from. However, I don't consider myself a professional but have taken classes and seminars a number of times. Most of the seminars were on the legal/tax implications for non-profit corps web sites in the US. Anyway I like the larger easy to read text. I find a lot of web site too busy with an overkill of information and even confusing. Keeping it simple has always been my goal.

Anyway, I can assure you that your first web page looks one hell of a lot better than mine did....

Thanks guys, I did up the text size to make it clear and did try it on tablets and it was Ok, but may have to think about it if I adapt the site for mobiles (when I work out hOw)

No unfortunately I don't know any of the models - and yes it is my first site but took b****y ages!

Your comments are much appreciated, thanks.
