My First Watch

There is a thread on babybmw about watches, and these are highly rated. I've got an Omega Seamaster Planet Earth, and love it, so know how you feel.

Nice packaging on yours as well.

Nice feeling to get something that you've wanted for ages. Well done, and enjoy!

And watches are very subjective - what one person likes, another will hate, which is why its important to buy your own (or chose if someone else is paying!). So long as you like it, who cares! I tried on loads in the Omega boutique before I bought - had wanted one for several years, but never knew which model etc. Sods law - the one I chose was the most expensive of the ones I narrowed it down to!

I have a Seamaster 300M (this years model) and a u boat among others, although my auld brietling is my daily beater :poke:

plus 1 - nice to get the watch you've always wanted - Im more an Omega man myself

we are Predictable - advertisers know that Performance Cars - Hifi and Swiss Watches tend to appeal to the same type and advertise in these areas - but apparently we are not early adopters so its a waste of time advertising cutting edge tech to :o

I like it because its different.

I am very much into my watches, nice to have a good timepiece 8)

Watch choice is always sure to divide  as already said they are hard earned treasure,s & hope it brings many years of enjoyment .
I was fortunate to buy what i consider an expensive watch (some may not) when cash was easier to come by & i cherish it as i know its unlikely i will spend so much again on a luxury item

Thanks guys, yes it is very true warches are very subjective to what an individual likes. What one likes another may not but it seems alot of postives so thats a good thing

@shambolic nice U-boat I like those too, I like the one with green numbers and black face

Yea the box is quite impressive in its self, although a bit large for transportation, but you get tools for changing straps etc in it too

3k to some people is like 300 to others , then you have the other end of the scale , the abromavitches etc where 300k is pocket money ,so its all relavent and about disposable income. love the solid look of the watch and makes a pleasant change from the common rolex, just buying another van so incurring more expenses and hoping i have the work for it,,, speaking of disposable income, ......does anyone have the number of the Timex shop ? !!!!

Ye a watch is a pretty important item of clothing in my mind. Would love to buy one just can't afford it atm.

Have my eye on a Tag Carrera

Remember when we had a heated debate about whether Breitling were wrong to use David Beckham to promote the brand?
Wonder how it affected their sales.

I've heard of a new watch brand coming out soon. It will be called Bell & End it is to be designed by Pastor Maldonato. The watch is warranted to never keep proper time & it will never be the fault of Maldonato's Bell & End watch. It will always be someone else's fault.

Nice time piece sam.

I wear a Stowa. Here is a photo of the unveiling and the engine.
