Guys as you know i'm having major mid life crisis right now...

a GB has popped up on a new APEX special set of wheels, super low weight , single piece forged wheels, designed and made for hard use, these are not a designer wheel set ( although they look bad ass ) . i LOVE them, ordered in the brushed clear in nice aggressive fitments i cant wait. The order is in, and im hoping to see the wheels in jan 22.

Their is another design in these pics i believe the forged EC 7 sprint series. The wheels i have ordered are the new Vs 5rs sprint series, APEX's lighest wheel coming in at an insane 17lbs!!

if anyone wants a set please jump into this GB as it will help get the price down, these are eye wateringly expensive by the time they get to the UK so it would be nice to get a big discount.

my current setup will be for sale soon.

Love the choice of wheel mate, where’s the group buy ? Possibly interested in costs 👀

the GB is here https://www.apexraceparts.com/our-wheels/forged-vs5rs.html

i think by the time theyve landed with the taxes it works out around £3650. that is ALOT of money no doubt but compare to the likes of bbs forged range and HRE etc where special wheel sets like this are 8k. Also the construction of these wheels, testing, load ratings, Certification and general finish / materials used is TOP tier, outside of this GB these will be 5k for a set. Lastly lifetime warranty so look forward to bouncing them of the bump strips at the track next year.

I bought a set of APEX arc 8 direct from Apex last year, great service from them and the quality of the wheel is first class, well worth the money for the forged wheels imo. They’ll look great on your car.

These are very well made and finished, had them for about 10 months, very much like new. Our roads here use what is called chip seal and throw up a fair bit of small stones when recently laid so can be a challenge for paint finishes but the wheels still look like new. You won’t regret the purchase.

Just in addition to my previous post, you might be interested in my son’s wrapping and signage business here in NZ, on his web site you’ll see a nice 911 Turbo S they have wrapped - www.signfoundry.co.nz
Cheers

Thank you, he’s been going over 7 years now and went down the growth route. His background is more digital media and business development / customer management than hands on application, been interesting to see the business develop. He has developed great connections with the high end car outlets and wrapped a number of brand new Porsches, Lamborghini etc as the purchaser’s couldn’t get the colour they wanted. Most of the business is other signage though. All the best. Peter

These are great wheels - I bought a set of EC7s 5 years ago and they still look like new and draw favourable comments. I went with silver to complement the Interlagos Blue and stuck with 18” diameter, but 8.5F 9.5R due to the indifferent road surfaces around the Niagara region. I paid US$1,400 for the set, including shipping from Turner in Florida to Canada, so much cheaper this side of the Pond. Did you check shipping costs from the US? It can be surprisingly reasonable. I bought my coil overs from Demon Tweeks and it was cheaper all-in than buying the equivalent set locally or from the US (due to currency differentials).

manx, these are direct from apex, i cant wait to get them, pricing isn't the cheapest but much much better than other lightweight forged , strong , track wheel sets. i think by the time they hit my door they will have cost 4kusd.... the brushed clear finish is nothing short of exquisite combined with the design of the wheel.

i love the fact they are properly tested and load rated, the weight of them is bonkers, ill be saving 8lbs per corner of unsprung rotational mass! i also love the fact that not many will have these this side.
