My first "official" Performance Award!!!!

Well what can I say, a friday night...temp around 80 degrees F, top down, got out of work early and I just filled up the gas tank before I went home. So what does one do when they fill up the gas tank...well I put the pedal to the floor. The good ol cop clocked me at 68 MPH.........in a 45 mph zone :x Well hell. Luckily for me he was military friendly and only gave me a ticket for 5 over. He also said if I went to court they'd probably let me go with a verbal. So I dunno, I may do that, might just pay it. Ah well, crap happens. OH, if we would of waiting another second-ish I would of been at 80 MPH :driving: which was where I was at when he turned on the lights....granted I was starting to slow down at that point...people do 60 on that road all the time.
 
Speeding is speeding, we all do it and sometimes we get pulled over for it and sometimes we don't. Sorry to hear your time has come. Glad to hear he was a friendly :D . If they let you off with a verbal does it not get reported, thus no insurance premium increase??? Did he say to admit guilt in court or to plead not-guilty?
 
he didn't specify...he did say i should go to court though.... I got an actual ticket though so /shrug ah well it happens
 
I do. Don't get me wrong this isn't a whiny post. I just felt like mentioning it since it is my first one. Honestly for as fast as I was going I'm amazed the officer didn't do more to me. Yes I was very lucky.

I remember. 1984 on Tecumseh Rd. in Windsor, Ontario. 80 kph in a 50 kph zone. 11pm on my way home from work at Red Lobster :D
 
Mine was in 1997 driving down I-390 in Upstate NY (near Bath) on my way to PA. I was doing 71mph in a 65mph zone. Bath, NY is somewhat famous for cops giving tickets for revenue generation - but I was speeding at 6mph over the limit.... :?

I would go to court by the way. I paid that first ticket.... Since then I have always done the court thing and have won.
 
Dec. 1976, a few miles South of Florence Az on Hwy 89. 130 mph in a 55 mph zone on my motorcycle. Only thing that kept me out of jail was I was home on leave for Christmas and the DPS officer liked Marines. Wrote it up as 70 in a 55. 3 points on my licence and a $60.00 fine which I was happy to pay.
