My first ding

I came home for lunch to see a mobile valet van man polishing up
someones car in my residences' car park, thought it was a good opportunity to get a quote on mine. Looking it over and admiring it he pointed out a door ding on the drivers side! This was not there last week! It feels horrible :( Really annoyed as I would like to think I'm very careful with where I park her etc.

Rubes sorry to hear that - makes the 'parking gods looking down on me' thread so much more prevalent.

Had that with my e85, and knew exactly when it was done about a week earlier with a kiddie van parked near it. New parking rules apply for me now.

Thankfully there are lots of people out there that can remove dings, just check out a local dent master.. its amazing how they can completely remove most dings.

Gut wrenching. Sorry to hear that Rubes :(

Study of parking thread required ;)

Maybe I should take a leaf out of Rialas' book and get me some cones...

Next topic from Rubes:

"Where can I get some traffic cones...?"

 hehe

Unfortunately you can't choose who walks past and dinks them, which nutter in the car park forgets to put his handbrake on and rolls etc....

Old boss's Astra was parked quite happily when the black TT rolled 30m across the car park and hit it....

I parked my old focus in the corner of a supermarket car park, must have been 7 spaces away from everyone else and i came back to find a shopping trolley wedged between my car and the wall, only a light scratch but i was ready to unleash armageddon on whoever it was..... if only i caught them in the act! Looks like it rolled across the car park when someone was too bloody lazy to take it back to its hut.

Makes you wonder why you should pay for someone else's laziness/stupidity/lack of care/lack of driving skill!

Wow Wattsie, bad luck, both of those situations. Now makes me feel lucky that I just got a door ding. Who knows what is to come though. Might start using my run-around a bit more.

If there's a parking danger I take the Polo... Zed doesn't like public car parks

Yes I often take my Polo too. But I live in London. If I didn't risk it from time to time I'd never drive the Zed. :(

That a bummer Ruby :( hope you can get it sorted with out a respray
if i go into town always take the wifes RAV

Spotted my first one today - gutted! I have OCD on things like dings and will have to get it fixed ASAP at a cost of around £75 because of some other **** not giving a s**t about other peles property :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

I am baffled as to where / how it happened as I usually park in the same spot at work where nobody can hit it and do my shopping late night and park miles away from anyone else in two spaces. I know the two space is a controversial thing on here but ONLY when the car park is less than 40% full and I park at least 20M from anybody else.

Mine is in the middle of the front wing over the middle of the wheel which is confusing to :x

Makes me wonder if someone's done it on purpose :headbang:

Ruby!!!!
I found a ding on mine last week but was too upset to mention it. Especially after the "parking thread".
100% sure it wasn't there when I bought the car.

I'm taking it in next week to have paint-less dent repair.
I don't know how I can be any more careful.
:(
Sorry for yours also. Avoid spraying it if possible.
