My First Car, My first Z4 (2nd hand and Crashed)

By the way, does anybody know why the engine covers are different even on the same engine. I mean I saw 2.5si with a silver engine cover and mine is black, why is that? I even saw both silver and black engin cover on the 3.0si.

I MAY be wrong, but I believe they're an optional extra (the silver ones).

Welcome to the forum, and congrats for saving what will be a great car again :D

are you getting a new cover? there are obviously black and silver but you can get them in carbon fibre also

Thx, I am not sure if it was an optional, I could not find on the extra list.
I am not planning to buy another one I just want to find out the difference.

I see that one of the rims is seriously damaged... You could sell the bolts in it since I remember some members here had a difficult time finding them... :)

Silver covers are an optional extra - have one on mine and looks OK.

If you give BMW a ring with the chassis number, they should be able to tell you the engine number i believe?

Not too much work left, only the bumper and some little parts arr missing.
Merry Christmas to Everyone!!!

And some pics of the broken BBS 108 it worth a look, the guy who is actually building my car said he never ever seen such thing in his life.
The Bridgestone Potenza RFT are so strong that the car was capable to go up and come down to the truck and move a littlebit on his own.

Well today was the big day, finally the car is ready to roll. I had a chance to drive it for like 2 kilometers, it was awesome!
Still the paperwork is left. The numberplate will be on it in the middle of january!
I cant wait that day :D
