My First BMW and it's a Z4

Hi all, I just recently bought a 2003 2.5 Z4 Silver. It has about 148,000KM and its my first BMW. Very fun car to drive, hoping to get most out of it before the cold/winter in Toronto (Canada).

So far I have changed the Belt / Tensinoer Pulley and added a new Engine Air filter.

I've tried changing the stock Business CD player to an afrermarket Android player, but no luck in getting the sound working, so I had to revert. :(. Still need to figure this out. There was an aftermarekt bluetooth already installed, but the audio quality was poor.

Looking to change the back trunk light as it's cracked and add new weather stripping for the windshield. I also need to change the temperature control module as they are not working. I think it's a car where you can learn to do a few things on your own.

Looking to learn from this community and thank you the valuable information that is on this forum.

Welcome aboard. Lovely looking car.
Before you change the temperature controls, (I assume you mean the three dials in the centre of the dash), are you sure the car is not in transport mode?
If so, the fan will only work on slow speed and the AC will not switch on. The heated rear screen won't work either.
If that is the case a garage should be able to reset it, or invest in Scanner 1.4 (PA Soft), load it onto a laptop and reset it yourself. The software will come in extremely useful for loads of other diagnostics and coding too.

Thank you :) . I will invest in the scanner :). Unfortunately from checking with my mechanic the issue is with the 3 dials.

Welcome to the forum. Check through her service history to see if the Disa valve has been changed. Easy and cheap to replace or convert. It can destroy the engine if it breaks up.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

If it's a manual it's worth removing the Clutch Delay Valve as it improves the quality of the gear change, especially from 1st to 2nd. It doesn't take long and if you can do it yourself it costs nothing.
