My first beading

Now for some proper beading on a proper roof ! :D

Roof got the Autoglym treatment at the weekend.

This post also doesn't want to raise the "BMW designed the roof to let the water go through the outer layer" argument again.

Just top quality beading :P

Out of curiosity, what wax was that Nova2k7? Was it rain that fell on the car?

Either way, very impressive

I like a good beading as much as the next man, but I'm not tempted to test out the wax coating I gave the zed, by moving it out of its cosy garage... especially after the monsoon hit South Wales today :(

Freshly Collinite 476s applied today

Some lovely Monaco Blue/Dodo Juice Purple Haze Beading after a quick rain shower:

Problem with this is at the moment with heavy rain showers and then sunny spells the beads dry up quickly leaving spotty watermarks all over the car unfortunately. Not sure what to use on it after they've dried as I only applied the DJ Purple Haze yesterday.

Also a bit of waxed wheel beading ;)

A quick wipe down with a quick detailer is what will get rid of them

I use dodo juice red mist

With a microfiber?

With two - one to wipe on and a dry one to buff straight off. Megs Quick Detailer from Halfrauds is a good call if you can't wait for an online purchase

Yea I just use one tho with the dodo juice

Fold it 4 times into a square, spray the qd on to the car and wipe it off with the mf

I often juice the qd if the car has been sat in the garage door a week with dust on it, quick wipe down and it's good to go

What does it mean exactly? I've seen others on here get excited about it. I see why now, It's very pretty. :)

A waxed or "sealed" car has a hydrophobic barrier all over your paintwork, water wants to stick to something due to its high surface tension and as it can't stick to the paintwork and it can't stick to the air around it, it essentially sticks to itself and sits in beads as seen in your pic

Hydro what!!! I thought it was all elbow grease and dedication. :?

Some more lovely DodoJuice beadage this morning, it seems different types of rain produces different beads.... who'da thunk it?

I think this was the product of some really fine rain we had last night...

I'm quite happy to share everything with the fraternity... especially the blame :)
