My European excursion

Friends, Canadians/Non-Canadians, Countrymen/Countrywomen!

The Canadian Dollar is more expensive than the US Dollar and I overtook a couple of Police Cars doing 200-230 kph (on unregulated Autobahn). The world is coming to an end so I thought that I have to share some of the over 3000 pictures I took. I will put up only.... 30

So - here we go!

First I went to Heidelberg and went to the Castle and took a few pictures. Here are some:

So - that was a synopsis of my trip. Amsterdam was CRAZY! I wanted to run back to Canada. I have never smelled so much THC around the place and there were some seriously baked people there. The Red Light District was NUTS.

I fell in love with the German Autobahn. Drove the rented Mercedes C350 at 180-230kph in the unregulated portions. It was GREAT! I miss that here in Canada :(

Absolutely fabulous pictures enfield! And you are as handsome as I'd imagined  Looks like you had a fantastic time there. Thanks for sharing your experience. And by the way, I laughed my ass off about your red light district comments  . Truly something most will never even read about.
T.

Wow - nice mental break to see those pics. I love the view out of the castle.

Thnx for sharing.....

So you saw the smallest house in Amsterdam then as well as the Anne Frank one. Good choice taking the boat around the canals to see the place.

Whenever we have meetings in Amsterdam, I always take the guests around the red light district as they can not believe it. They always assume that as I am Dutch that I know the place intimately ...

A VP of IT in a company that i used to work for disappeared for 3 days into the red light district. Meetings ended Friday afternoon and he wasn't seen again until Monday morning when he arrived just before his flight left. Apparently he had a very large smile on his face. He eventually transferred to the company's Veldhoeven headquarters.

That would be Veldhoven, near Eindhoven. Large Hi Tech park there (1.5 hours by train back to the red light district - direct line 8) )

hahaha, Amsterdam is brutal. I try and go at least once every couple of years. I love the place! I had a job interview the day after i came back one time. I got the job, somehow, but i couldn't remember anything about the interview afterwards :P

The view from the castle... AWESOME! I should print that out and stick it on the inside of my windows at home!

I once went with my Z4 into the city center of Amsterdam . . .pvr, that was a very stupid move right? :D :D :D

I've never seen so many bicycles in my life!! Stress levels just went through the roof!!
I must have been the fastest exiting car from Amsterdam, that's when we made a wove to never bring it again into a big city (on the same trip we later visited Paris, and we realized what a wise choice we made to leave the car in the suburbs!)

Yeah - driving in Amsterdam was NUTS just like the Red Light District. My hotel was downtown near the central station. I think that the bikes had the right of way!! Dutch women are pretty!! I was surprised at Bavarian women - they were also pretty. Last time I was in Germany I had been around Homburg and the women there were not that cute.

I also had a piece of spacecake. I had a bit that was around the size of a sugar cube. My companion, Emily, ate her slice as well as most of mine. She was STONED!

The Red Light District.... What can I say. I saw what I thought was a woman in the 'store' window. Then I looked down and she had a HUGE package. I wanted to run back home at that stage

Yeah great pics. I miss that place

Eindhoven was a SUPERB place to go drinking. Maastricht too. Queens day is IMO best time to go. I've only went once to Amsterdam, never found anyone who wanted to go 3 hrs to get there again. Ah well, probably for the better.

I was so glad I wasn't the driver for Amsterdam. It's freakin nuts. And Paris was worse IMO, not as crazy but still worse. First time I ever saw two cars get pushed out of the way so a guy could park. There literally was no space between bumpers when he made it in the spot. A friend told me if you leave your parking brake on in some spots there you will get a ticket.

You should have walked up to the window, flash your wad (of cash), get them excited, and then walk away laughing.
