My E85 Project Thread - Project Nutella

Watching this thread :fuelfire:

Can't wait to see the progress, love the different take to most builds on here (mine included) for going at it full on and not using off the shelf parts. Wish I had the skill/know how/facilities/contacts etc to pull something like this off! It's gonna be 1 special Z by the looks of things so far!

Just don't paint it white and make mine less special :rofl:

haha odd bits and bobs - having a new windscreen fitted this weekend - all the bodywork welding up and smoothing in ( i will add pics ) but if anyone wants a new windscreen surround you let me know turns out they bring them with them when they swap out your old one so i have a spare haha.

M4 bumper is smoothed off and ready for primer etc etc

and my one off side skirt extensions arrived haha
 
okay some new pics:

Started smoothing the wide arch kit in.

Then removed me and my aerial from the stubby or whippy debate

and smoothed the boot lid. That's all I'm giving away for now :) it's going to be painted next weekend. Looks a while off - it isn't ;)

This is coming along very nicely, cant wait to see it all painted up!

What;s the deal with the third break light and aerial you mounting them somewhere else or just ditching altogether?

That aerial only provides AM coverage as I understand it so we all may as well ditch it these days!

Rear light I decided to ditch it.. figured the worst it will look rubbish and ill just buy another boot lid and put it back lol but I quite like how it makes the duck tail rear a bit more prominent (may put the badge back on to break it up)

aerial it's always been a pet hate of mine I don't understand them,.. they look gross and always end up with polish surrounding them etc so my personal choice has always been to ditch them so... bye bye Capital Yorkshire .. plus the radio goes through my phone mostly so it just looks tidier :)
 
Liking the project , but isn't the 3rd brake light a M.O.T requirement on cars after a certain year, probably wrong so crack on

If it's a requirement can probably stick one on the rear window for the Mot then take it off after once you got contacts spliced in would be easy to reattach it every mot
