Some may already know I had one as a weekender for nearly 10 years before the ///MR. :D

Just so happens this one is almost identical, tan trim, which I loved and all. The biggest laugh though, this one is up for more than I bought mine for 19 years ago and has similar miles on it. :o

Don't be tempted though. Most unreliable money pit I have ever run.

Oh how I loved that car.  :driving:

I think probably every car I've owned is worth more now than what I sold them for - although mostly it's nothing to do with them being classics, just that I sold them once they were knackered (except for the Corrado VR6 and the e34 3.6 M5 - as I used the sale to fund newer/faster cars).

Always wanted to try the Fiat coupe.

I also let go of cars cheaply that are now worth a lot more.

Sold a completely standard Corrado VR6 for £650 that had a few minor problems - rad leak on hose, failed window regulator. It sat on my drive for a year and the clutch MS went. I felt further things were likely to go wrong and the ex gave me grief, so a fella bought it and trailered away. He broke it for a profit. Only paid £750 for it but regret selling it as I loved it and had always wanted one. The ones around these days are mostly dogs or a big ask £ wise.

I also sold a really good condition xr3i for £250. Wouldn't want another but they drive ok for what they are. They are now going for a lot more.

I had a Fiat Coupe 20VT for 5 years too. It was my daily and never gave me a minutes trouble up to the day I sold it. I was running a passive bleed valve mod @ 1.2bar boost which made a big difference in the lower gears and in combination with a Bailey dump valve to atmosphere, it was a lot of fun :)

Great looking cars.

One of those cars I always fancied but never got around to, and another Bangle creation IIRC.

I'm sure Clarkson got one as a replacement for his Escort Cosworth and raved about it.

Mind you it sounds like I might have avoided a money-pit so maybe it's just as well I finished my Italian car phase in the 70s after a couple of twin-cam Fiat saloons. :)

I always thought they looked fugly when they were new. Must admit though...they ain't got any better with age

I think you read that wrong. It"s up for more than I paid for mine. I paid £9600 in 2001  I gave it away for free.

I recall he stuck chariot spike wheels on one, took it around he TG track and they fell off.  :driving:

PS.. You could always buy the one in AT. :D ..Don't btw it could bankrupt you.

No chance of that because I'd have to sell my MC, and that won't be happening!

Your a wise man Mr Tidy.

Thanks, I don't think I've ever been called that before!

But it's a no brainer - who would choose a 5-pot Turbo with FWD over an S54 and RWD? :o

Have you ever heard one. A straight 5 does make an intoxicating noise. Quite different from the howling banshee cry of the S54. Dare I say mine with it's Supersprint exhaust sounded better.. :exitright:

had a yellow one many moons ago and loved it, no trouble with it either over 3 years other than a knackered aircon system

There is still a yellow 20vt running around in this neck of the woods. Little bumble bee. 8)
