Thought I would finally get round to treating my coupe with the love and respect it deserves, by giving it a full service and some little treats along the way.
For someone who wasn't going to do a single modification (same old story), I have followed most on here and done some common yet effective mods/touches.
I had already done (in the past year of ownership):
- ZHP gearknob
- Stubby
- Sound gen mod
- Pressed number plates
- Replaced windscreen due to numerous stonechips
- Replaced runflats
- Debadged
- DIY ashtray aux input
- MTEC drilled and grooved discs
First, it was due a service this January, so I thought I would do it myself and save a bit of cash.
I replaced the oil, oil filter, spark plugs, air filter, cabin air filter. All parts purchased from carparts4less, and oil from Costco. See pics:
Oil = Minging and ready for replacement!

Air filter wasn't too bad but changed it anyway for the sake of a fiver!

Electrode on all 6 plugs was eroded away quite badly. Didn't know when they had last been changed either.

Access to cabin air filter.

This was also ready for a change, full of leaves and cigarette butts!

Since the service the car runs much sweeter, with noticeably more pick-up at low revs. The spark plug electrodes did not look great when removed, so glad I replaced them.
Next came some tidy up/mods:
- Painted kidney grills gloss black
- Painted interior door grab handles gloss black as they were scratched
- Swapped the 108's for some 18" Cades artemis staggered alloys, with concave rears, chrome valve stems
- Fitted full interior LED kit sourced on eBay (no pics!)
- LED sidelights (no pics!)
- Painted callipers and hubs black, with retaining clips silver
- Used Maguiars headlight restoration kit with good results
- Brake fluid changed (could have done this myself I suppose but it was £48 inc VAT at a local indy)

I'm very pleased with the car now as its pretty much exactly how I want it. I think it sits nicely on the new wheels, sometimes they can look a bit 4x4-esque when not lowered. Might change the wheel centre caps for BMW ones at some point and get my front bumper resprayed, but all in good time
Got the wheels for £535, including swapping my tyres over, all new wheel bolts and fitting so well chuffed!
