I think yours is set off by the aero kit too - really suits the colour. Being totally honest, I didn't even consider maldives blue when I was looking for my Z4 and now wish I had at least looked at one in the flesh beforehand...

When i went to look at it the two things that i wasn't sure about was the aero kit and the colour and when i saw it parked on the drive when i arrived at the previous owner house i fell in love with it.... it does not look asa shiny as Nosa's though.

Any thoughts for a second scottish meet.... going to be away all of july so would need to be august for us.

BBQ soounds like a great idea....

which wax and clay bar did you use Nosa...

Meguirs Clay and spray,
Meguirs swirl remover polish (Applied with silverline rotary polisher with A lake county medium pad)
Meguirs 2nd stage polish (went over the car twice with this) (by hand)
Menzerna final finish polish (by hand) (good stuff)
CarLack 68 - Nano Systematic Care (by hand)
Meguirs mirror finish wax (by hand)

And about a trillion microfibre cloths

Thanks sounds like I've got some shopping to do.....

I've got the NXT wax at the moment... and I'm not very impressed with it the shampoo is good but not convinced by the wax.

Believe you live on a farm Zermatt, Lucky you, you won't have to put up with the sarky comments from neighbours, had a few "I think this will be funny if I say it" comments when doing the work, things like, "you will wash the colour off". and "my god didn't you just wash that yesterday" one particular guy who has 3 motorbikes and gets all 3 out EVERY weekend and works on them mechanically liked to pass sarky comment on a daily basis, right up until i Told him that if i were him i would be taking the bikes back to the garage and demanding a refund due to all the work he has to do every weekend on them as they are obviously badly made, the look on his face was priceless as he started to stutter a reply and then realised he had just been gubbed. result was no more comments. another guy (who i can't stand) who drives a skoda and likes to give his loud mouthed racist bigoted ill informed schemey opinions commented "will you ever get fed up washing your car" I was given a boll*cking from my wife for my reply of " will you ever get fed up sticking your fat nose into other peoples lives"
Guess i won't be getting invited to his annual hogmany party which i never go to anyway.

Neighbours eh, who needs em, next move for me and the Mrs is a small cottage in the country once my two kids leave home.

As for the work i did, I had to go pretty mad on it due to all the swirling and hologramming the body shop did to the car hence the 3 step polish which worked a treat. I was going to give the NXT a go when my present wax runs out, but guess i will give it a miss now.

I'll show you some proper wax on Thursday Nosa

Luckily my neighbours know what I'm like and have stopped commenting on my car washing routines. Probably worst thing is my getting the step ladders out to handwash my van: most people just stick a van through a carwash or use a brush or something, but mine gets the same wash mitt / multiple-bucket method as the Z4...

"Proper wax" take it you got some vickeys or similar, your probably best to remember I am from Dunfermline, it might come home with me

BTW, Got a couple of 17mm spanners and some mole grips, what else do you need me to bring over?

in the country but not quite a farm....

going to give the nxt wax another go before i write it off totally but to be honest it does not bead as well as a11y's ....his zed 4 rather than his van...

Was having some fun on the way home tonight with Bonnet beading

Nothing, other then you and your Z4 :)

Actually, if you have any brake fluid - that's what we need, right? - then that might be useful. I might have some DOT5.1 left over that I used to bleed the brakes on my mountain-bike but no idea if it'd be any use for our Z4's...

DOT4 is the recommended stuff for the Z4, will pop into local essport and pick some up.

Ha, essport was started by my father-in-law many many years ago! I'll go havers on a bottle with you if we need to use loads of it.
