In all honesty it will probably be a more fun drive!

The boss has a Z3 and when it's parked next to my car it looks like a toy! I love the E89 but it's not an agile car!

Sorry to hear about your car, even sorrier to hear its because you lost your job. :(

Hopefully you'll be back on your feet soon so to speak.
The Z3 looks a nice, clean, tidy example. Bit of sea change from an E89! However as others have said you may enjoy driving it more!

If you don't mind can you tell us how much they gave you for the E89. Totally understand if you don't want to, I'm just thinking it might help a forum member negotiate a deal on it and give the rest of us an insight to main dealer margins.

They have not gave me anything for it, with loosing my job it getting handed back settlement is £49000 they are trying to sell it for me to soften the short fall I will have to pay back . So the more they get for it the better for me , but BMW said they will not let it go any cheaper than that so I don't think the price will be any cheaper until it don't sell then BMW take it to auction if that's what they do

Fair enough, in that case good luck with the sale!
With such a large shortfall I assume you did think about keeping it for a few months just in case you land a new job etc?
I would hate for you to find a new job a week after they have sold it and you have lost a small fortune in a matter of months on a car you could once again afford.

Well E89 not been agile car - it can be!!!!

Had an drive out around the Derbyshire dales - 7 in my group and was an mixture of Z3M's and E85 3.0is. And I was the only E89 in the group and it was more than capable and at some points they were stuggling to keep up. However if I had stock suspention would be an different story.

Furthermore they were shocked that I only had an 2 ltr

My understanding of the small print, there is an way of handing the keys back with no liabilities - as when I purchased my first BMW on PCP - as did ask that question.

I think your referring to the halves and thirds rule and for that he would have needed to have paid over half the value of the entire credit agreement, after a month he wont be there, unless he had one hell of a deposit.

Unfortunately not half way through they did say that I could pay that then had it back with nothing else to pay but I ain't got £25,000 lying about , so going to have the short fall to pay
