My car is on the M specific crashed list

Lol. I knew this car was cat c in 2009 and having previously bought categorised cars I understand the potential damage. But these cars are repairable and remember repair quotes are for new parts at BMW repair rates. So I went into it with my eyes wide open. I know insurance companies pay less should you write it off again but I don't plan to do that. And you have to bear in mind these cars are purchased at considerable discount so everything is relative. I won't sell this car anyway it's a very low mileage absolute fantastic driving machine

That is absolutely fine, it is only a problem if someone either does not tell the next purchaser or does not understand why their car is worth less in resale than others.

If you have no plans for either than you have a bargain.

Nowt wrong as long as the car is repaired to spec....

However dont meant to put a dampener but yours looks to have black inner headlights (do they still have the halo's) and from my phone looks like a non M bonnet.

If they cut corners there what other corners where cut?

That's not necessarily cutting corners though - it's using significantly cheaper parts to save money, not spec but doesn't necessarily correlate to the level of workmanship.

I have no problem with Crashed and repaired cars. That's ones looking like a gem now. It's just when people aren't up front about it. It's the conmen that are the problem. Cars can be repaired and are then what they are. (Hope that makes sense)
