Yep it just hit 35000 miles. I'm going to have to drive less miles to keep the value up lol
And what do you see in this picture.?

A DOG :D

Haha, if yours is old mine must be sh*gged at 62K!

Is there a reason you don't use it? :o

Yikes it's covered 35k :o

I'm guessing you've booked it in for rod bearings, vanos seals and head gasket refresh?

The poor thing.

It's like having a champion racehorse and not letting it out of the stable.

Get it out there man and give it a good thrashing!

Sometimes I think people don't know how to celebrate their cars. Or that, or they do not enjoy driving.

Below two photos of my daily-drive. Both photos taken today 8)

or he may enjoying using his car in his way... just because its not in the DD doesnt mean he's not "celebrating" his car..... The DD will always have more bangs, knocks, scrapes , weathering etc... some people don't want to put their P & J through that... I'm in that camp too...

i love driving my car, but I don't really go anywhere, just to footy and table tennis........ I drive the Q7 and van more.

That's pretty much how I think, I can't keep the love for a car I put through all that, tried it before.
Plus it would only just be getting warm by the time I'd got to work.

I'm not really bothered if people use their car as a DD or not - that was not my point.

I don't "bang" around in my other cars so in that aspect I'm in the same camp too.

My previous comment was targetted to the owner of the 35.000-mile "old" car (3500 mls /year) who said that he "will have to drive less to keep its value up".

Nothing personal, just not my kind of ownership goals. - I drive my cars when and as much as I want and couldn't care less if they depreciate more or less. :driving:

Cheers,
Gustavo

Easy to say when your car has 100k on the clock and therefore has much less value to lose. Also depends on the persons financial situation and what they plan to do with the car in the future. I am planning on keeping mine for a long time and hoping to make a profit eventually, therefore I keep the miles off the clock and enjoy it on sunny days. Puts a smile on my face when I check pistonheads for prices every 6 months also. Different people have the cars for different reasons, none of them right or wrong. We are all here on this forum because we love the car :)

My car just rolled over 50k, 25k of them in the last two years. I love it every time I get in it. Not sure what it's worth now, but honestly I don't care :D
