My car has gone mad

Later in the year, the lights will come on in full sunshine as well as the sun is less powerful and the human eye corrects but the sensor does not.

Ok so a certain someone has just suggested that there may have been a bag on the passenger seat

Strange that cos I've sometimes got one on my passenger seat and its usually moaning at me for driving too fast :)

My headlights are on all the time in sunshine... Especially when going fast, with the sun behind me.... Think its the frequency of the light as opposed to how bright it may appear.

:winner:

Handbag on the seat will definitely trigger the sensor - I know from experience! This happened to me on a few occasions when driving hubby's car but not every time, sometimes it would happen just when I went round a corner; kept telling hubby about it but never happened to him! Then one day it did it while still at home so made him come and look - he took one look inside car and lifted handbag off passenger seat, beeping stopped - one red-faced wife

To be honest I didn't think of the passenger seat.. I just thought it was something to do with my seatbelt...
Am I coming across a bit blonde in this....

My passenger seat occupancy sensor goes mental when I put my mobile on it... are they supposed to be that sensitive? :o

Oddly, my lights did the same this evening. Bright sunshine, yet they were on. The first time I've noticed it.

I don't have the handbag problem though

They can be glitchy. Am sure my lights did this when set to auto. Seem to be fine these days though so just figured its one of those things.

I've just had a Eureka moment..I could strap my massivo handbag in! Fool the sensor.
Thats the work around. Just click your seatbelt and voila; pas de sensor.

Seriously.. in 5 years this is my biggest issue with an otherwise virtually flawless car, the sodding passenger seat belt sensor..

My dog sets it off, my laptop *sometimes* sets it off, sometimes an overindulgent M&S Lunch will set it off. I paid an Indi (as part of something else) to try and disable it which he said he could, then came back saying it wasn't working & couldn't work out why. Sometimes it'll beep despite being stationary for 10seconds

I've harped on about it on here a few times but always alone, so told myself it can't be that bad, but grrrr :)

If somebody can tell me a work around for small change falling from your pocket and lost to the oblivion that is known as beneath the seat, I'd like to know about it too.

(no I dont use a coin purse or wallet).

I hope mine doesn't stay this way or you will no longer be alone.
