Is this sad? (probably) but did a little google maps search of the previous owner and found this. Why does it please me so? :D Can you find yours too?

R32 aswell. Proper petrol head. Nice.

I was happy enough seeing my car outside my house on streetview. I've always been out whenever they came round taking photo's, but they finally caught me.

Only my prev car shows from Google Earth where I currently reside and my FN2 Type R civic shows at my mum and dads but as it was sold via a dealer and always on private plates the new owner(s) will never know where it was as the dealership changed the address to c/o them

All I know about mine is that it used to reside in Beaconsfield. When I got the car there were still addresses saved in the satnav, but I didn't keep them. Never thought to Google map them to hunt for the Z4. I emailed the dealer who was stamped in the owners manual just to see if they had any kind of service history available but they said they destroyed all records when the Z4 was sold. Sounds a bit strange, I would have thought they'd keep any records for a while in case someone brought the car back to them for work.
I know the Americans have a 'carfax' registry that you can search for information on the car's history - is there anything similar in the UK, or do you rely on the previous owner to provide any service history?

enzed, was the dealer in High Wycombe? If so, send me the old UK registration number and I'll try to pop in there before I leave the UK and get what history they have.

Cool - I'll dig it up tonight. I assume the original rego will be in the owner's manual?
PS - I bet your list of 'things to do' is now officially longer than the actual time you have left to do them... :P

Presumably but send me the VIN too just in case.

It has been for ages! Happily many of the entries on my to do list are "beers with the boys"!
